Good luck to him, but that’s enough defections.

Why would he move to CUSA from CAA?

Agreed...Two is enough for now.

Good luck to Coach Thweatt. (though I hated saying your name aloud)

It’s a shame to see any of our coaches leave, but we will be fine. I have to think that positons on this staff will attract many high-quality applicants right now.

Yeah, Madia's article stated that the decision on the OL coach should be soon and Houston stated that he had a ton of great candidates. In regards to the coaches that left he seemed to intimate that the Thweatt move was what it is, but that Stiney obviously had a no-brainer. Also stated that he and many of the other coaches had offers and are not making a move.

Why would he move to CUSA from CAA?

Because it's a huge step up in competition and perception.

Maybe reality is setting in with you guys, I'm not sure.

He's going to a lesser program and city, but it's likely a nice pay raise. Good luck to him.

Would love to get Marshall on the schedule in lieu of a Norfolk St, Robert Morris, etc.

More like in lieu of NC State and WVU.

He's going from a Sagarin schedule strength of 151 to 122. Not exactly a "huge step", especially in light of the "perceived" difference in classification.

The reality is that Marshall can afford to pay a bit more, plus it checks a box that some coaches find necessary in hiring future coordinators.

RE: Thweatt to Marshall
Marshall's new OC is Tim Cramsey, who was SHSU OC last year.

Glad they didn't lure DK away. Have a feeling our offense is going to look a lot more powerful this year, especially in the run game.
