The students could care less about Bronco b-ball. There is no excitement at all on campus. This is not a slam on the students! Hockey rules the campus and basketball is meh.

The performance of the team given the expectations certainly doesn’t help.

They turned out Friday even with hockey playing

Hockey Friday night attendance was only about 200 more than basketball.

Has always been that way, and always will be. Hockey plays at the highest level and aspires to be a national championship program, while MAC basketball in general is awful. Plus, I think Lawson is just a more enjoyable atmosphere for students with the lunatic chants and all that. Hawk's nest, Bob's Mob, The Zoo...none of those student sections have ever really had solid leadership or taken off.

I noticed the student section was packed at Lawson on Friday, while UA not so much. However, hoops drew in a higher attendance from the rest of the community.

Looking forward to the game tonight. Unfortunately we usually stink it up in Kalamazoo. My guess is we will have 20-30 fans. Not much but it's a weekday

Dugan has looked pretty good today and is actually setting some ball screens!!! But me and Dugan should post-up the same amount of times per game.

Tuned in for a bit here in the second half... same $hitty shooting and same ole giving up tons of threes...

This team sucks. Period.

40-point effort by Wilder wasted.

3 losses in the last 4 games, back to back at home.

We'll get some W's as the season wears on, but we are no threat to win the MAC.

Swept by Toledo ... again.

Rockets shot 13/28 (.464) from three-point range.

For a team picked to win the MAC West, the meltdown is now complete.

RE: Toledo on Student Appreciation Night
Our post-game is weak, even when Dugan is healthy. Our offense hinges on the ability to have a guy down low that can defend and finish at the rim. Without either of those things, there’s simply too much pressure on our guards. Opponents can either shut down Wilder and take their chances with the rest of our guys, or keep the ball out of the post and let Wilder beat them. More times than that, that recipe is going to work for good teams.

This team is not good at shooting and I’m not surprised... Dugan is a 7 footer who plays like he’s 6 ft tall and our coach refuses to change his game to fit his current players...

Whoever decided not to RS Dugan made a huge mistake. He’s such a squish.

Sidenote: You guys ever seen a 40 piece before? My fanhood started with Saddi. I don't remember anybody really getting close until Dave who had 38 at Kent. 39 against Akron in the tournament. 38 maybe at Buffalo. But never 40. I don't remember Ben Reed ever getting over like 32-ish.

Don't recall any Bronco 40 point nights...could be wrong. Seems like Bonzi Wells had a huge game for BSU at UA...something like 45 or 50 maybe.

This team is an anomaly... great athletes and a coach that has no idea how to use them... this is where Hawk is costing this team a bit... he’s reluctant to adjust his offense to use his athletes... his big men aren’t getting it done...

Yes, we have no productive big man at the 5, but continue to play like we do. Dugan and Lamont are come-off-the-bench type players who should be in less than 10 minutes per game.
