We're not building a program we're trying to win championships. Have a solid D and should next year as well. I have not seen offensive skills flash. Lack speed and QB is not a star and at best ok. We have Jr's and Srs dba that will be leaving. If we can a really good player there take him. I do have hope for the frosh QB from Ft Wayne, like to see h play this year (keep the redshirt). Bottom line we desperately need playmakers in the skill spots.

I agree. If there are really good JUCO players that can substantially contribute for 2+ years then you bring them on. Cam Newton seemed to work out well for Auburn and he was a JUCO transfer. NIU has a history of bringing on JUCO players who have been outstanding contributors......Ken Bishop, Jas Hopkins, etc.

Because high school football players are playing their seasons. It's always this way.

Offered Tyrice Richie out of Juco. Didn't we offer him out of high school? I believe he is an HF product.

Richie had tons of skill out of high school, just don't think he could make the grades to stay here. Hope he comes back.

Saw that one of our former players (Daniel Isom) who had to go the JUCO route is signing with Washington State. He had a great year as a true Freshman but couldn't keep his grades up.

Would anybody happen to have a way to get in contact with an offensive coach (RB coach in particular)... I posted this kid here two years ago when he was a Freshman (he's a Junior now)... Seems like he's being completely overlooked. This kid would be a HIDDEN GEM for us. I know we got Nettles from Romeoville and he's supposed to be one of our "Future Backs" but if you know the Southwest Prairie Conference, Romeoville H.S. Football program isn't all that good (its a basketball school and I'm saying this as a teacher who coaches at a school in the conference which is also not so good lol). Don't get me wrong, Nettles put up STUPID numbers during his years at RHS, but he was all they had, so you would hope that if he's their playmaker then he should have great numbers... This kid I'm showing you on the other hand comes from a proven program in a bit more competitive conference. I had the opportunity to be one of his teachers his Freshman year... Like I said, THIS KID IS A STUD. Someone get this to a coach please.

Don't we have early signing coming up soon? Last year we signed the entire class in December. Wondering if it'll be the same. Winning the MACC will help as well as attending the Boca Bowl.

Looks like they are all class of 2020. Very quiet for 2019 commits lately.

Need a JC who can run a route and get separation. Geez our guys run the roundest routes I've ever seen. Thats on the position coach to a cerfain degree.
