Moving on up. Back when UC was sitting around 20, some of us believed being back in the top 10 was only a matter of time. Glad to see it. Just keep winning.

Don't get too full of yourself, you predicted it last year and it didn't happen. 50-50, not bad.

Go back and look at last year. I didn't predict it. I hoped for it, but their objective metrics were never what they have been all year this year. They've been right around the top 10 in kenpom all year this year. Last year they were mostly between 20-30 all year. Last year I thought they would be Mick's best offensive team (they were by the numbers) and thought they needed to be a top 5 defensive team to be a top 10-15 team (they never got there). Don't move the bar on me.

UC is a really good team this year and the AAC is very solid (8 RPI 100 teams...more than the B12, PAC, and Big East

We are Top 10 with many chances for Top 100 RPI wins left on the schedule. We have a shot at a protected seed if we take care of business.

Some people can't see this and want to pooh pooh...unreal

Kind of suprised Houston got votes instead of SMU. SMU had home wins over Wichita and Tulane while Houston beat Wichita and lost to Tulane.

The WSU/Houston game was Saturday when voters were paying attention. With volatile human polls that matters. Objectively I'd say SMU is a better team than Houston though.

Kensucky out of the polls lol. The big blue faithful are now turning on Cal. People think our fans are irrational, go check out the UK board lol.

UC is now the only team ranked in the state of KY!

Michigan gets absolutely bombed by Nebraska and only drops a spot...SMU with wins over Arizona, USC, and Wichita can't even get a vote. That Northern Iowa loss is going to bite them in the ass all season. 10 points separate them from 14-6 and 18-2...pretty crazy how unlucky they've been.

Great point. While we all know the AAC has challenges, it is undervalued as evidenced by some of the current metrics and by Houston and SMU not getting more poll votes right now. Both teams recorded a win against a top ten team; it hardly moved the needle. A team in the B12 or even the new BE with a similar record would have moved in @ #24 or #25 on the strength of that win and the body of work.

Lets enjoy this while we can, we all know when UC loses one or two of their away games ( @ SMU,@UH and @ WSU ) they will drop faster than a screen doored submarine.

I am kinda worried over mid Feb. schedule of @SMU, @UH and WSU, all in seven days. Will the team stay in Texas and get home one day before WSU game, going to be tough.

That's going to be such a tough stretch. There is a decent chance we'll be 22-2 heading into those 3 games though. If we can come out of that week at 24-3, I think we'll all be very happy.

I will take in a heartbeat going 2-1 that week (Feb 11-18) and even taking a loss at WSU the final game of the season ..provided we win every other game we are supposed to, to finish the regular season at 27-4 (RPI Forecaster gives us a RPI of 8 in this situation. assuming the loss at SMU and WSU) going into the AAC tournament ....which we will win by the way.

I too could live with it... but... **** that beat them all! Crush their hopes and dreams and then do it again in the tournament. Taking away whatever bid exists for the AAC tourney winner. I really want to get a good seed. I feel like some years if we were placed in other parts of the bracket we'd be sitting on another Sweet Sixteen or two already.
