Chryst was/is awful. I'd rather get their preferred walk on QB.

Awful for the PAC 12 might not be too bad for CUSA.

Immaculate receptions come on bad passes.

RE: Chryst to Rice?
6-0 as a starter as a junior and then he injured his knee in the Sun Bowl. Yes, his stats this past season were just so-so (especially if you throw out his stats vs. Rice) but was he at 100 percent? He has 19 career TD's passing and 6 interceptions, and was the nation's 55th ranked recruit coming out of high school. And we're bad-mouthing him?

I do wonder if we get a high profile QB transfer, what happens to our underclass QB's. Smalls can always get a redshirt if need be, but Glaesmann would mostly sit on the bench? And Tyner probably needs to switch positions at that point.

RE: Chryst to Rice?
May be a long shot. But I’d take him in a heartbeat.
PAC 10 QB coming to CUSA, not a savior but could make a huge difference next year. Maybe the difference in winning 6-7 games instead of 3-4.

I’ll believe it when I see it.

I guess I’ll leave it to Coach Bloomgren.

One national college football writer thinks he is going to Rice, but another (Dan Wolken, USA Today) thinks it will be Tennessee.

His dad is the TE coach for the Denver Broncos (and formerly with San Francisco/Vance McDonald) so hopefully the Kubiak connection can help us there. His uncle is the head coach of Wisconsin.

I would think Tennessee and Wisconsin have better options (if the Rice message board is saying he's not good enough to play QB at Rice). Hope it happens.

RE: Chryst to Rice?
Hornibrook is the Wisconsin quarterback and he's not going anywhere. They're not an option.

Tennessee has its own graduate QB transfer (who someone also speculated as a possibility for Rice - but on this board only - not sure if any national writer was speculating Rice). They have a young QB who is their likely starter but he's not as proven as Hornibrook.

Lol one person. He’d be our best option by far next year. He started at Stanford when he was healthy.

Wouldn't he have to sit out a year?
