I’ve got our second five tied with Tulane for 9th at 3-4 right now. 2 games out of the top half. With our current level of play I question if our starters will even finish in the top half. If Marshall can figure this team out then I like our chances for the 2nd five to have a fighting chance at picking up a few more wins.

FTR I would still take any of our second five over Zach Brown.

This is actually more accurate than most will ever know. Considering the fact that the Shockers are predicted to not even break a sweat in conference play this year (thus not needing water), the waterboys have been getting a ton of court time in practice. Marshall has stated (off the record) that the Shocker waterboys could be a factor in the conference race if the NCAA allowed them in regulation games.

Gregg Marshall on last Monday’s coaches show (summarized, not verbatim): We have 10 or 11 starters, there is no drop off when we go to the bench.

This was said as a response to all the horrendous play the "NCAA" teams had demonstrated that day (namely: SMU and Houston's tankjobs). My original predictions (back around April/May) for the Shox in the AAC went something very close to this: "2 losses and I'll be esctatic, 3 very happy, 4 satisfied, 5 disappointed, and I forgot what I said about 6 but I'm sure it was witty and hilarious.

A coach would never just give coach speak to the media. That never happens especially on his show where the players themselves could be listening.
