I've seen a lot of talk about how our lack of big wins is concerning, so it's probably worth mentioning that Lundardi has us up to #3 in his Bracketology.

I know RPI varies from other advanced metrics in the sense that it doesn't account for margin of victory, but can someone explain why it seems we've been progressively leaping up the rankings with each passing win as of late?

hear that a lot on here.....win, lose, it's all fun to just be there. People need to remember those years we weren't, no fun at all. The CBS theme song loses a little when your not in the tourney.

Oh for sure, and conference perception...each and every year, the AAC teams seemed to be knocked down a seed line because of the bottom end of our conference. Luckily we only played ECU and USF once each this year.

An indicator will be what happens when (if) UC loses in conference. Let's see how far they drop (IF they lose). Like someone was questioning how WVA remained ranked after losing 5 of 7. Because of the conference. If UC sinks like a stone in the polls after 1 loss, we will know what pollsters think of the AAC. If they win out, we'll find out what they think of the AAC when they get their NCAA seed.

Went to the coaches radio show last night and got to talk to Nelson and ask Mick a question. Was pretty full, but not packed. I’ve certainly seen it a lot busier for a football game. Was surprised not more people considering we’re ranked so high.

A 3 for now - fine. Take care of business and win out (or maybe drop 1 of 2 to Witchita), we should be a 1 or a 2. With as good as this team has been I'll be disappointed if we don't make the 2 line.

Up to 8 in RPI. SOS is now projected to finish in the mid 50’s, too.

Those sure resemble 2 seed territory. Lot can change in a month...just keep on keeping on.

Our numbers can fall quickly with a couple of losses, but that is a nice stratosphere the team is in right now.
