RE: Game Day: Ohio
Looking at the standings, it seem pretty clear that everyone will be chasing UB and someone will hope to upset them in the MAC tourney, sending UB to the NIT.

Akron, Ohio, and CMU are struggling the most and everyone else seems to be in the race for the #2 seed. Toledo is poised to sprint out to the #2 best record in the MAC with a win tonight.

RE: Game Day: Ohio
I just locked at the Ohio game PDF.

Looks like a 3-guard offense with most scoring coming from the guards, Laster, Kirk, and Dartis.

Taylor is the chief rebounder fo the Bobcats.

RE: Game Day: Ohio
Dartis has lit us up a couple of times over the years from deep. Gavin Block takes a lot of threes too.

This is a scary game to me. We haven't done very well on Saturday's this year, and Ohio isn't as good as they have been in the past, but have some talented guys that can hurt us if we aren't on our A game. I'm hoping for a beat down, but I'll be happy to see an efficient game with Thompson dominating.

RE: Game Day: Ohio
Must win because UB is next - @UB Tuesday.

Jason Carter - is out. Their best big man.

Is Dartis hurting? Anyone else?

Chad just said Saul Phillips make a cool 500K / year...

RE: Game Day: Ohio
Some crazy stats on this team:

Jordan Nobles has played 448 minutes this season, and has only taken 6 free throws. Compare that to Bud Jones, who has played 37 minutes with 4 free throw attempts. Jordan needs to use that 6'9 frame more to his advantage.

Jalen King has played 53 minutes, and hasn't scored a point. In fact, he has only taken two shots. He reminds me of Jamell Harris, who was also a twig his freshman year. I hope to see him bulk up a bit and be more assertive. The athleticism and length are there to make him an intriguing prospect.

Looking better after a slow start. Forcing turnovers will always be our key to victory. This team can run.

Lassiter hurt his shoulder. EMU got a break and got a 5 on 4 and got the trey.

Defense looking pretty good. Had 2 in a row, steals and uncontested dunk. Overall good defense too... wondering no if Sam is happy with it.

RE: Game Day: Ohio
Looks great today. Everyone is very active, and Ohio doesn't seem to have much of answer other than to try and draw fouls.

The offense on the other hand...yuck. Lots of Jackson dribbling to nowhere again.

RE: Game Day: Ohio
Jackson has been awful. There have been at least 3 instances where he either took a bad shot or turned it over in the paint when a shooter has been wide open. No court vision at all.

RE: Game Day: Ohio
Almost a prototypical EMU game: Really nice defense. Offense is, don't ask.

Folks talks about the zone, but it is the offense which scares me.

Additionally, the offense is horrendous... wonder if Sam is disappointed.

Yes and especially as we get a lot of points off of our defense.

Our defense has been sterling today.

Like it this team could feed the post, shoot the trey, etc. we'd give every MAC coach sleepless nights.

Win or lose, these games are so much fun to come too. And great for families. They have a bunch of dogs in the lobby from “last day rescue”. In addition to the ounce house and awesome view. Wish more people would come to enjoy.

Still pretty active defensively, but Ohio is hitting shots. They'll stop falling soon, and hopefully we have one more big run in us to put this away.

Keep feeding Thompson.
