with 1;37 remaining, dukes trailed 53-63 and the Dukes win probability was 1.5%

we had similar probability swings against Mason, Hofstra, & W&M.

ESPN's algorithms need to be re-written to model this mercurial team.

no lead or deficit is too large to blow or overcome. whats going to happen, who the h3ll knows.

From Josh Walfish at the DNR

“According to KenPom, #JMU has played in two of the top-10 games with the most unlikely comeback. Loss at W&M was No. 2 and tonight's win was No. 8. The fact Dukes have been four of top-100 is notable as well.“

The CAA is your typical one-bid mid-major conference. The regular season is simply positioning and getting your team primed for 4 days of play in early March. I think JMU is athletic enough to play with anyone in the league. Get the rotation nailed down, confidence, and learn to close and they will be in the hunt.

I like Joey McClean but his injury may have been a blessing as the team has been playing much better with Matt Lewis upping his minutes and starting. Joey has a lot of hear, but his height or lack there of is tough to hide on defense. This team is will be much better with Joey coming off the bench playing about 15 minutes.

Glad they got the win, but I don't see a win magically turning around their season at this point. Hope I'm wrong, of course. Adding shooting to this team, in addition to help at point guard seems paramount. They've already added a point guard, of course. Hope that Pinkard and McLean can add some depth the rest of the way too. Not sure what the status of Pinkard is, but saw him on the sideline out of uniform.

We need to be scheduling UNC and Duke. Three of our four wins are against North Carolina schools and we're undefeated (3-0) against them.
