McBride has the look of a good future QB but I agree, he will most likely be redshirted. Give him a chance to watch and learn from the big boys.

I would hope more QB recruits would look at this option since the QB is usually the QB at many high schools because they are the best athlete on the team and can play multiple positions.

thomas will stay at DB. more playing time. i think gainwell plays the sam craft role, nolan-dillard will not be a qb, we dont know if sam comes back but even if he did, he wouldnt play qb. one of the qbs will transfer, my guess is adair or davis who seem to get lost in it all. samsel is a walk on.. so that leaves DMO, White, Adair, Davis, and McBride at qb.

Seems like a great plan. You can never have too many QB's and the addition of White will give McBride some time to grow without having to be thrown into the starting job until he is ready and needed. Although he was primarily a passer McBride can also run. Here are his end of year stats. He had 35 TD's and only 3 interceptions this year which could have been mostly tipped balls. http://www.maxpreps.com/athlete/brady-mc...-stats.htm

Like your optimism about McBride, DallasTiger, but McBride was never going to be thrown into the starting job. Even without the Brady White signing, McBride would probably have redshirted, and if he didn't redhsirt, he would been 3rd or 4th string behind Moore and Adair and maybe Brady Davis, if Davis doesn't transfer out.

Thinking back to some of our teams in the 90's or the 00's when we didn't have a decent quarterback - like starting Rip Scherer's son or Fred Smith's son - and now we have good QBs stacked for years. A good problem to have. Norvell is a good recruiter and evaluator of QBs, high school QBs like our offense, and our past 2 starters will be NFL draft choices. Success breeds success.

I agree he should be a red shirt. But, I am a little more optimistic on his chances of playing.

Hope you are right. Love D/FW QB's, they are well coached and have faced tough HS defenses. Remember when I lived there, at one point 7 of the 30 starting QBs in the NFL at the time were former D/FW area high school QBs.

Another thing to remember is that Norvell and staff really like Adair a lot. He may be another diamond in the rough. Adair was named the scout team POY last season.

not to trash the scout team player of the year award, but Adair was really the only option at qb for scout team. riley and david ran the starting offense and adair was only qb left that didnt have a torn acl lol

True, but we redshirted around 17 players. Award doesn't go to just a QB. Bigger point is they really like Adair. We should be good at QB for years.

Yeah. They put thought into those awards. Scout team standouts usually are slotted for the 3-deep the next year.

HaHa. Def fits the “HS QB” sterotype.
Is it crazy to say that on talent alone we might have a QB more talented than our past 2? I freakin’ love Norvell!!!

That was an insightful video. He's a little short but so was the guy who won the Heisman this year. His was big time with all of this video on him in high school.

The Bradley sisters. Never could understand how a woman could have a blonde, brunette and red head daughters by the same man.

Also with Jeannine Riley(Billie Jo) and Pat Wooddell (Bobby Jo) do they really expect us to believe that Hooterville was named after Horace Hooter?

I wonder if the former Head Coach at Olive Branch is his Dad?

The 3 Brady's, MN-D, Adair, David Moore. Norvell has plenty of options. Will make for great competition. Cant wait for spring practice to start!!!!
