Stadium now has a Roku Channel
I've navigated the channel and it flows pretty well. In addition to watching the 24/7 channel, you can also watch the conference network games that are on-demand.

This is a bigger step, especially for the Patriot League and the MW as there are quite a few on-demand games that now can be played via Roku.

Sling has several stadium channels but I have yet to see any active programming on there? Thanks for the Pluto mention. That looks like it is worth checking out.

True, however, the Roku channel has the on demand games that aren't on the main 24/7 channel. There are quite a few MW games via the MW network that can now be shown on TV via Roku.

RE: Stadium now has a Roku Channel
With Stadium's Roku channel, this could help the MW further push the digital concept. Since the MW partners with Stadium to showing the MW network games via the Stadium platform, this will give those games now a more TV experience.

I enjoyed the Facebook broadcasts. Production values were fine.

The stadium roku channel should make it a lot easier to watch MWC, WCC, and Patriot League Network games

Stadium has the potential go to balls out with their programming. I hope the Sun Belt starts to work with them once TV negotiations start up.

Unfortunately, I think you guys may be in too deep with ESPN to do so. It would be good if you can.

Yeah---ESPN owns all the rights to the Sunbelt. Given that most of the Sunbelt stuff already ends up on a quality ESPN digital platform that effectively competes directly with Stadium---I dont see Stadium doing much with the Sunbelt. In the end, relationships with Stadium are going to be about exposure. I still have seen zero evidence that these Stadium deals represent any kind of monetary windfall for the conferences.

The Big Sky hit a huge home run by signing on with Pluto.

I was an ESPN fanboy in the Sun Belt sense up until this year. Yes, it's fantastic that ESPN is so widely known and easy to access and that just about all App's games have been on their platform since moving up. However, this year's Wake Forest game not being broadcast locally OTA set off all sorts of alarms in my head.

I feel the Belt should produce all their own broadcasts, sell their own adverts, stream their own games via their own App and sell off their big games to Stadium, local sport affiliates, local networks or even individual local stations. If ESPN's deal with the Belt is barely over 100k per team it seems like it would be easier to get that through Ad sales and game broadcast sales.

Supposedly only six SBC schools have the capability to produce "ESPN Quality" video.

I know AState does and my recollection is App is another and at least one of the Georgia schools. Not sure who the others are.

You can use the PlutoTV app to stream their main OTA feed. But AFAIK only Roku has the app which allows for their multiple feeds.
