Well when they move to FBS and sign home and homes with NMSU and Liberty, things will change!

Definite P12 candidate according to DavidSt.

Well that explains this

After a decade of memories that I will carry for a lifetime, I have been offered and accepted the UND AD’s position. I will reserve further comment until Tuesday’s PC, but please know my family and I owes a huge debt of gratitude to many in the EWU (Cheney/Spokane) community...

Weber St will move up instead. EWU just doesn t have the endowment capacity.

Weber St is adding on what Montana did to their stadium without batting an eye.

EWU AD will move to UND because he doesn to want to get left with the Big Sky dregs. It would be a career killer and he has hockey experience.
EWU tried everything to get an FBS stadium, but their fan base couldn't respond.

April 20th will be here soon, still no word of the great north conference.

Weber St already has an FBS level stadium, but they just recently announced an attached workout and student athlete center. Weber has also been the recent class of Big Sky fb, as they made the FCS semi.

NAU's AD recently skeedaddled too, as she went to UTSA. Its race to stay out of the Big Sky dregs for administrators.

Nothing to do with the Big Sky.

North Dakota > EWU

UTSA > NAU

You don't think this is already the case at the FBS level? Most schools sponsoring FBS level football already lose money... They just subsidize their football programs with student fees.

I guarantee you that Tulane loses far more than $5 million.

You're probably right.

Keep in mind, I did read a few years ago that UC-Berkeley were bleeding 8 figures in red ink across their athletic programs. I also think that Maryland pre-B1G was in serious financial hell as well.

I guess the better question is - can your university afford it? It's in a way high-cost/high-return advertising. You never know how most private schools are doing since they seal the books.

But you've insisted that Montana/Idaho had to have EWU, and Weber wasn't worthy of your Great Northern 03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao

It was good riddance for Campos - an absolute train wreck.

EWU tried their darndest. The travel partner situation was better for Idaho and EWU. Now Montana/Idaho will have to work as well as Weber / Montana St.

EWU will get Seattle and Idaho St will partner with UVU now in a greatly weakened Big Sky. It's coming.

There needs to be eight FBS teams and Denver and Omaha have already filled the non fb quotient.

Beside, Seattle would leave in an instant for the WCC. One has to have committed partners for a new adventurous league to even proceed.

Pretty sure the minimum number for an FBS conference is 7. At least, that was the number back when the WAC was imploding.
