Just crazy that the MAC releases conference schedule so late.
Why does it take so long?
B10 announced their 2018 conference schedule 4 years ago.

We probably just have to wait until ESPN determines what teams and rivalries will be screwed by weeknight "MACtion."

The MAC has allowed ESPN to set a fishhook in its bottom lip and it is gradually destroying the conference.

So many Tues/Wed slots, so little time. Agree with Gull Lake on this one. Who's season ticket base should ESPN screw up this season?

3 weeknight home games. Starting in October.
Toledo and NIU both weeknights.

Syracuse best Saturday game. Who wants to pay $ for that? I’ve got to work Fridays

Syracuse game is on August 31, which is a friday....

Oh yes. It is Aug 31. They moved to Friday for CBS Sports

Am i reading this right? We have 2 Saturday home games and 1 is FCS?? Looks like another year with 1 tailgate for me. Pathetic

Is Syracuse going to be good next season? Do they have experience coming back?

They beat Clemson last season, granted Clemson played an injured QB for most of the game.

The MAC is ESPN's *****.

And supposedly FBS teams have to maintain home average attendance to stay.

That ain't happening with these schedules, nor will it in future when all the students-turned alumni don't come home for games or even watch.

Well, that does it. My twelve year run of having season tickets is over. I live 100 miles away and work. I never missed a Saturday home game but am tired of purchasing tickets for weeknight games that I can't attend.

this only deepens my hatred of MACtion. 2 home Saturdays is a complete joke, no matter who the program is. Syracuse, Delaware St, EMU, Toledo, Ohio, and NIU on Saturday afternoons would be killer

Agree about the MACtion crap, it's hard to build love for a team when the stadium is empty or watching in your basement. I fear it's putting short-term gain ahead of long-term investment in a fan base that cares and is willing to sustain your program.

ESPN is the Entirely Sh}@%$ Profit Network.

It is bad enough we only get five home games out of twelve.

Then to have ANY of them mid-week at night in November is an insult to our students and alumni.

And how many people from surrounding area are going to attend?

I suspect a lot of people in SW Michigan don't even know when we're playing any more - thus don't care.

I just put in an email to the new wmu fan relations manager who has been contacting me to let them know my disappointment with the schedule and that my family will probably only do 1 game. I think everybody should do the same.

Why do we scheduele an FCS opponent every year? Is that a requirement?

I renewed my suite tix before the schedule got released... not again.
