Falcons-Rams (14.9) was down 10 percent versus last year’s Lions-Seahawks game.

Bills-Jaguars (17.2) was down 10 percent versus last year’s Dolphins-Steelers game.

Panthers-Saints (20.4) was down 21 percent versus last year’s Giants-Packers game.

Good. After we destroy the NFL, we can ruin college football next. Then we wont have to pay thousands of dollars to pay for coaching salaries and scholarships we can't access.

Damn, you used " We " four times in that rant, are you on a mission?

I know the 'aints didn't.....payton burned two on two challenges.....if they would've, he easily calls one their to reset their defense.....

but no, he burned two TO's on two stupid challenges.....

from comeback of comebacks, to total meltdown.....

either way, the completion puts them in FG position as he would've been driven out of bounds.....regardless, that was a 650.00 TD for nuts zongo.....

04-rock04-rock04-rock

What would have happened if the Vikings actually tried the XP at the very end, 10 minutes after the play was over and they finally get 11 Saints back on the field for the XP kneel-down?

Why not? The rules don't say you can't attempt it. The Steelers and perhaps the Patriots would have attempted one in the same situation.

I knew the Vikings wouldn't attempt it. But I am serious, a classless coach might have done it. Mike Tomlin would be #1 on the list for sure. Bill Bellichek and Sean Payton (Bounty Gate) perhaps...

And you know what is really sad, there would be a huge chunk of people who would be outraged about it. Not more than the number of people mad at the players for not kneeling, but there would be some people more upset about a lack of proper sportsmanship than the anthem protests.

I'm not a gambler so it wouldn't have mattered to me. I was just amused by the whole deal about them having to bring the Saints back on the field for a useless play.

Silly reason then. I'd have risked a 51 yrd field goal.

The play should have never happened. Payton burned an unnecessary timeout on the previous drive with way too much time on the clock. There shouldn't have been any significant time on the clock.

RE: All Four NFL Playoff Games See Double-Digit Ratings Decrease
Ratings were down this weekend too and in some cases, were the lowest totals in a decade for the NFL. But they weren't down quite as badly as the first weekend.

The Minnesota-New Orleans game drew 21.8 rating (a season high for the NFL this year), which was only down slightly from last year's Steelers-Chiefs primetime game last year. But that was the Saturday primetime game - the Sunday game last year with the Cowboys and Packers drew a 28.2 last year (although I would expect Dallas-Green Bay to draw better than Minnesota-New Orleans).

Jacksonville-Pittsburgh drew a 20.4 (lowest in the Sunday early game window in 15 years for the divisional round). On Saturday, Atlanta-Philly was at 17.4, down a bit from last year's 18.3 Seattle-Atlanta (but lowest in that time slot since 2009). And the 16.6 New England-Tennessee game was also the lowest in that time slot since 2009).

Pittsburgh-New England would have been a ratings bonanza but Jacksonville-New England will continue the slide. Minnesota-Philadelphia should do so-so next week; nothing like Dallas-Atlanta from last year but probably will do better than the 21.8 for Minnesota-New Orleans.

All in all, better than the 1st round but still nothing for the NFL to get excited about. Even Tom Brady isn't bringing in the fans anymore.

Again, yes the racial injustice protests during the anthem decreased attendance and viewership, but so have myriad other factors. Like NASCAR, the NFL has peaked. It can really only go down for the most part going forward. And they are still, by far, the most watched sport.
