Says more about Memphis and Uc being UCF’s bitche$ than anything else. Do you think either one will ever beat UCF in football again? I don’t, I think UCF put both pathetic programs in their rightful positions, as second class junior high programs.Get used to it losers, it’s where you belong.

Year before last UCF was 0-12. Congratulations to UCF on an outstanding season. Be careful though about calling out other programs as you could be one bad coaching hire away from mediocrity.

You’re right, it just gets really old dealing with the s@me 4 or 5 pathetic insecure posters who have to poop on any other programs success because that’s all they’ve got. UC had all the advantages and a head start while in the BigEast, and to see how far they’ve fallen is disturbing. And we all know that while Memphis is improving as a program they just never seem to be able to beat UCF. Of course those f@cts never seem to stop the incessant smack running by the same old asshats. 07-coffee3

Well, Herb Tarlek had to go do something after the Big Guy sold off WKRP.

I think UCF should claim the National Championship in a split poll. You look like a bunch of jackasses comparing yourselves to Alabama, even if you are better. Think about it. Let everyone else brag for you. UCF crowing about how much better they are than Alabama is like me saying I beat up a drunk in a bar fight and now im the heavyweight champion of the world. You are embarrassing yourself.

This whole conversation was never about us being better than Alabama. It was simply about having a chance to compete at the highest level. This season demonstrates that if you keep bending over and grabbing your ankles ESPN and the p-5 cartel will just keep giving you the business. At least UCF stood up and pushed b@ck in an attempt to show just how corrupt and un-level the playing field is, and all you petty jackhats can do is continue to snipe away because your school isn’t good enough to start the conversation. That’s the truth!

I wish UC could have had more success in the Big East years but the advantage is more illusion than fact. Let's face it. There are maybe 10-15 programs in the country that are elite. They generate the revenue, they pick and choose their recruits, they have the monetary advantage that the rest of us dream of. More often than not they will participate in the playoff. It is what it is.

UCF had a great season and deserves it's due recognition. Enjoy it.

Isn't it hilarious that you assign Auburn as a #4 win for BAma, and a #10 for us?

You're a terrible troll that really needs a ban already.

UCF knows about record ratings, cause that’s what we got in the Peach bowl. Thankfully UC wasn’t playing so the ratings didn’t tank.

So just because Sagarin takes into account the previous years record and adjusts as the year goes on, we should accept it because it favors the Cartel. Gotcha! 05-stirthepot

But Alabama played handicapped most of the year. They played with a bad QB, worse then 4 or 5 starting QBs in the AAC, for all (meaningful) but half a game of the year. If Saban didn't bench that bad QB (Hurts) Alabama doesn't win the last game. Amazing that it too that long for coach Saban to see that.

I was talking with a co-worker yesterday about how Alabama needed to call on true freshman at QB and RB to win the game. Years of 4* and 5* talent and its a couple freshman making the difference. Do players get worse the longer they stay at Bama? Or does a demanding Saban make them slowing lose their confidence?

Screw college football and the College Football Playoff Committee!!!! We all know who the real National Champion is, and if this was 20 years ago, it would be official. The cartel has ruined College Football!!!

And I’m one bitter person when it comes to the AAC and my school. But I’m not an idiot and know when to call it like it is.

Congrats UCF on your National Championship!!!

Thanks! FWIW, USM should be moved up as well. I would rather have you guys than USF to be honest.

FYI--the UCF SOS was 72. People make a big deal out of that.

Two things nobody ever points out. That was a top 5 G5 schedule. The highest ranked G5 SOS was Navy at 67.

The second thing nobody points out is that regardless of who a G5 schedules or what they do in OOC---they will never rise much above #67 in SOS. Why? Simple math. Every P5 conference member will play at LEAST 8 games vs P5 teams---most P5's play 9 or 10. At best a G5 can play 4 P5's (most play 2 or less). Thus, every G5 will rank behind every P5 team, Notre Dame, and probably BYU in any given year. So, any G5 will always have an SOS above 66. If your going to eliminate a G5 for SOS then the G5 is effectively eliminated from the CFP (which is what I have been saying all along--I think Houston would have been eliminated by the rigged Committee or SOS just like UCF had they run the table).

One more thing worth noting, the 2016 UH schedule everyone points to as being "good enough" for UH to make the playoff----well, it was ranked #76 in SOS in 2016---worse then the 2017 UCF schedule.

You’re the miserable old fart who is stationed on his front porch just waiting for some kids to walk across his front lawn just so he can scream “get off my yard.” You’re pathetic and frankly I feel sorry for you. If my team had lost 11 straight to a single team I probably would try to snipe that team at every opportunity too. Read your post above, you apparently don’t “get it” because it’s not about us proclaiming ourselves National Champions. Are you really too dense to understand this?

That's interesting, I had a feeling that UCF got lucky this year, in that the AAC provided UCF a better than average SOS in conference. Like I've been saying, this is direction we need to be headed. Not scheduling one and dones with P5s. We need to emulate the P5 scheduling (to whatever extent we financially can).

Colley provides a good view OOC wins/losses per conference. This is what dictates your in-conference SOS. If we play and lose to the best of the best OOC, guess what? SOS we get from in conference games are going to suck. If we beat FCS teams and MAC teams OOC, the SOS we get in conference boosts our best teams.

http://www.colleyrankings.com/foot2017/r...onf15.html

Compare what we do, to say the PAC12. The first thing you'll notice is how many games they play. The AAC could get a big boost in SOS by just going to 9 conference games.

Look at the FCS games, they play just as many. So they play 3 OOC vs our 4 and the game they drop for the extra conference game is not the FCS.

The bulk of their OOC schedule are G4s. Which they win almost all of. If you look at the AAC, we win almost all our G4 games too.

Our problem is that we were 4-10 vs the P5, while the PAC was 6-2. We played almost 2x the OOC P5 games! Those are the games we need to drop if we go to 9 conference games. And the ones we need to drop are the crappy one and dones.

TL;DR:
Our SOS problems are not that we don't play enough P5s OOC, it's that we play too many.

That’s why you’re an anonymous poster on a conference board who cheers for a team that’s never tasted the success that UCF’s program has. UC has been around since what 1895 and never won a BCS or NY6 Bowl game. This whole marketing ploy by UCF has spawned numberous conversations around social media and in the sports media that wasn’t happening before Little ole UCF had the sheer audacity to declare themselves National Champions! A time honored tradition in college football used by such programs as Alabama, Auburn Georgia etc... strangely other football metrics have declared UCF champs as well see non subjective criteria used by Colley Matrix. UCF declaring themselves National Champions is the vehicle that starts the conversation see post incorporating a Jay Bilas recent article. Get over it, cause it’s not going away and neither is UCF.
