Massey Composite Rating now includes 80 rankings. Last year's final composite included 117 rankings.

As of now AAC is #6, closer to #5 than to #7-10. AAC is closer to #1 than to #9-10.
A year ago AAC was #6, closer to #5 than to #8-10, with the gap to #7 being 60% of the gap to #5.
Two years ago AAC was #6, closer to #5 than to #7-10.
After the '14 season AAC was actually #8, but was closer to #6 than any G4 has been to a #6 AAC since.
After the '13 season AAC was #6.

Having trouble understanding that one. Who was 6th and who was 7th that year?

#5 and the lowest "P5" was the ACC, average ranking 48.73
#6 mwc 76.73
#7 CUSA 82.28
#8 AAC 83.93
#9 MAC 96.63
#10 SBC 98.72

For Comparison, 2017, with almost 91 rankings in now:
#5 PAC12 51.68
#6 AAC 66.82
#7 mwc 83.86
#8 MAC 87.54
#9 CUSA 91.38
#10 SBC 98.74

Note my edit for precision - I should have noted that the 2014 delta between #8 AAC and #6 mwc is 7.2 which is smaller than the delta between #6 AAC and any #7 G4 since then, 2015-2017. In 2013 we were #6, 6.99 better than #7 mwc.
