Also unsure about this rumored offensive coordinator. Wasnt he under investigation for issues at TN Tech before he was fired? Do we want to bring that here?

Ask Nick Saban. Replacing the starting quarterback didn’t seem to hurt Alabama in the title game. Get those on the field who can perform and everything else seems to fall in place in today’s fast paced game.

With the same protection, using a different QB and expecting different results is futility.

Thats not true. I have seen numerous times where a QB change all of the sudden makes a line go from good to bad or vice versa.

Take the 2nd half of the Bama/UGA game last night or look at UT when it went from Dobbs to the next guy.

Avoiding the rush, throwing receivers open, throwing it away, calling line protections, throwing on the run, are all valuable items we may want to look for. A little success with play calling transforms the mentality on the line.

I wasn't able to see or listen to the interview with Sanders on AM 1420 but Marky tweeted that Sanders said the QB position is open. I dont know if he said that in the context that all positions are open or what.

All positions should be open. Sanders is an accomplished quarterbacks coach, I trust him to make the correct decision at that position.

Yea I saw the over sensationalized OMG it's open competition. Doesn't every single new head coach in any sport in the universe say that publicly as a motivational tool?

I was able to watch a video that Marky tweeted and put on Facebook that included the entire interview.

RE: Former Temple QB Commits
The word around town here was that Satterfield has a drinking and a female problem. Not sure how much truth there is to these rumors, but do we want to bring this to our team? Also, I realize he excelled as an OC at Temple and is an ETSU guy, but as a HC here at Tech he won 4 games in 2 years. Could too much responsibility as HC be the reason for his performance here? Or is there something to the rumors? Maybe someone who knows him personally could clear this up, but I cannot endorse him as our OC. If he turns out to be our OC I hope he does great things for us, but I don't like the sample of football I have seen here in person.

Good grief. There is no proof of this. He has been a great OC and from the sounds of it has already brought in a good player.

It looks like he was just announced as OC. I didn't say there was proof; just rumors. I hope the rumors aren't true and I stand corrected as he won 6 games in 2 years as HC here at Tech. I figured he was the guy when I saw the transfer, but there hadn't been anything offficial relaeased. As I said earlier, I hope he does great things for us. Go Bucs!

Gotta be better than O’Cain. Glad they were able to keep Taylor and Rader on. I wonder if Sanders wasn’t able to bring in as many people as he had hoped for, due to our budget restrictions compared to where he’s been. Anyway, let’s get to work.
