It is 2017. I could easily follow a high school team if I wanted to.

Its not easy for someone like him who has to cover the entire NCAA. How many ODU games does he have time to watch to make an honest assessment of our team for an article like this? So he's kinda forced to base it on stats.

The only reason all CUSA away games arent is due to other schools not meeting ESPN3s minimum requirements.

We upgraded all of our equipment to make that possible a couple season's back.

It's up to the other schools to do the same. But considering how long they've had, I wouldn't bet on it.

I have to say this.

It's been a frustrating couple of years for ODU Basketball. But tomorrow night is the first time I can recall that we've had a "big" game against a conference opponent in CUSA. Let's get her done...

Is that the same as the 4400 Club/Club Level? Is it open to the public/season ticket holders.

You have to have made a donation to ODAF of at least a certain amount (believe it to be $1,000 or more) and purchase one or more Club Section tickets which cost more than a standard season ticket in order to access the Club Section. The tickets themselves look different than the standard tickets.

I believe that the amount of the donation that one has to make to ODAF to get VIP status is at least $5,000.

I could be wrong about those figures but that is what my understanding was as of last year.

On a side note - the North Texas stream was fantastic on cusa.tv and even had the ESPN style graphics. I seem to recall their football stream was really good in the fall too.

Not to de-rail the thread but I think a lot of our problem in not the equipment, it's the people running it. Many times the camera- folk are actually from Spectrum (the one's that run the TED) Not sure how much say ODU has in that based on the contract.

Me too. His talent is supreme this year. His starting 5 consists of:

5. Dwight Coleby (Transfer from Kansas...enough said)

This says nothing about his in game coaching abilities.

He has done an excellent job mixing his defenses and managing his personnel to maximize what we can get out of our players. He has been a great motivator getting everyone on board with how he wants them to play. That is important if u want to win. Getting players to buy in and play.hard. Have yet to see our guys not give it their all. They truly love playing with each other and it shows. They never quit. You'll see that soon enough.
With all that said we still may lose but I expect us to give all u want. Your place is one of the tougher venues in cusa to get a road win. May the better team that night win. Good luck

I am having a hard time seeing a winning outcome for us. I hope I am wrong.

It's at the Ted. If our shots fall and it is loud, we should win. I do have a hard time seeing a win on the return trip, however.

I follow guys on Twitter that have real 9-5 jobs and still follow every mid major team. If covering basketball was your full-time job, it really isn't that tough to know a little bit about every team; particulary a team that you are including in an article you wrote.

To his credit, people seem to sleep on BJ. It wouldn't either outlandish or far off if someone had the opinion that BJ was our best player. He's certainly our go to scorer.

Look out ODU. 6'9" power forward transfer from Syracuse has just been cleared by the ncaa to play. Our bench is not so thin now. He hasn't played in a couple of years but has been practicing with the team the entire time. Supposed to b our best rim protector and that's saying something considering we already have Colby who is pretty damn good of a defender himself. GO TOPPERS!!!

He never went to Stracuse, did he? He went JUCO then was an idiot and entered the draft, even though he was ineligible. Then had to sit out a year.
