Loved Brian in so many aspects. If this season had matched last years he would be my number 1

I think Rascati would of had better stats in this offense

It’s Bryan Schor. Who else has a title followed by a 14-1 season and runner up? No one.
Yes some of them didn’t have this defense to help them, but Schor is a major part of 28 wins in 30 games.

JMU has had some great QBs, but I’m not voting for any of the guys who are listed. My choice for the “greatest” is the next man up. Time to reload and get back to Frisco. JMU has some unfinished business to take care of in Texas.

Both Justin and Rodney did not make the mistakes Bryan made, though, they didn't have the opportunity to pass as often as Bryan either. It was simply a different game "we" played in those two QB's time running the offense. Mike Cawley was more of a pro type QB, but we're talking about JMU.

Everybody measures greatness differently, for me when it comes to measuring quarterbacks I look at Championships and post season victories. Bryan led us to two CAA Titles, 7 post season victories, and one national championship. He has my vote.

Bryan was solid but this poll is skewed by the fact that many of the posters didn't ever see a lot of these guys play. Rodney Landers was the most dynamic play maker in JMU history.

Is always the case on these polls - but what can you do?

I agree. You can try to mold it in favor of one player because of reasons X Y and Z but to me, results matter. It’s often the difference in separating them from one another.
No QB has accomplished more during their playing time than Schor.
Yes his propensity to throw interceptions was frustrating. I feel like he may be up there for a not so flattering stat per game. Anyone have an INT/Game historical stat?
He also wasn’t the best judge of when to throw a pass to the sideline on a broken play and would take frustrating sacks for big losses.

While I don't think Landers is the "greatest" QB, I think he carried his team more than any other QB. So I would say he was the MVP of the bunch. He just was not a very good passer.

Greatness is defined by leadership. It has to be Schor.

Hard to believe our best QB was not even first team all CAA as a senior.

I love Brian but he turned the ball over a lot this year including yesterday.

I agree with Dukester. Of those JMU QBs I've witnessed, I chose Landers despite the passing limitations. I saw some games in the 90s, but not enough to know about Cawley/Williams in this comparison.

Vad Lee under Mike Houston would have been ridiculous. Maybe not the most accomplished, but I would say most talented.

What made him a better leader than Rascati? The man was a cool under fire as anyone and frankly so was Rodney.

RE: Who is the greatest Quarterback in JMU history?
Rodney Landers was probably the greatest leader to have played QB but he wasn't the total QB that Justin Rascati or Bryan Schor were. My vote was for Rascati who didn't have the post National Championship type season(s) that many of us expected. Mickey and Jeff Durden's offensive mindset wasn't as wide open as Coach Houston's and Donnie Kirkpatrick's. It would be nice to compare the stats for Rascati's senior year to Bryan Schor's. Except for one game I think Bryan threw an INT every game his senior season. Several were untimely and in the other team's red zone.

I worried all season that if Bryan had a bad game which he did yesterday along with a poor performance by the O line, bad hands by every WR other than Riley Stapleton, Missing in Action TEs (e.g., Kloo after bout with mono and Cheatham after getting dinged shoulder) and a non-existent running game that we'd lose and we did.

Top 5: Rascati, Schor, Vad, Landers and Cawley....

Still love our Dukes......

I never could get this fan base's obsession with Landers.

This. Would Schor have had the same results if he'd played under Withers instead of Houston? I love Schor and do think he was great, but Vad had my vote. Landers....Rascati....Cawley...too many to choose from!
