I do not understand it, either. I guess the factoring of desperation plays a role. I hope they are right. The team and fans need a lift.

I understand your sentiment and do not criticize it, but I cannot root for defeats even when strategically it may make sense.

At home, the Tigers should be capable of pulling out a victory against any AAC team except Cincinnati, Wichita, and SMU. Doesn't mean they will but it means that they could.

So, maybe 5-4 to 6-3 at home in conference and 1-7 to 2-6 on the road for somewhere between 6-12 and 8-10 in conference. Next season maybe go 8-10 to 11-7 then rebuild again?

That is a common theme with the Tub. From what I have seen he has made that same statement every season for atleast 10 years and never quite lives up to it.

Just looking at some advanced stats and they are brutal. For our 2 conference games:

Nickelberry's total efficiency is -82.8. He has a 35.5 Off Efficiency and a 118.3 Def Eff. He has a 40% Turnover%.

Jimario Rivers has a 75% Turnover%. How is that even possible?!?! He also has a -11.8 PER

Brewton's Usage % is 37.7%. 9.4% higher than anyone else on the team. His eFG is only .481. However, he is the only player on the team to have a positive total eff at +1.2. The next best player is Davenport with a -5.3.

Not good numbers, but we’ve played two very good defensive teams...

Brewton seems to be a guy who can create his own shot.
