Just caught the last of the Tone interview on Jason and John. All I heard was that Tubby doesn't connect with former Memphis players. Also that when Anderson wanted to go to the Louisville game this year he was told he'd have to pay for his own tickets. Was this about it? Any other mentions regarding the program. Where its at. Where it needs to go. How to get there.

He said that he and several former teammates including drose sent a group text to several assistants asking if they needed to talk to recruits and try and help the program in anyway they would. Said They got no response and that current staff basically ignores them anytime they try and help. Said a lot of the former players feel ignored. Also said when Cal and Pastner was here Penny was around the program a lot and they used Penny for advice.

Tubby and some of his present coaching staff seem to delight in turning Memphis against them, along with our revered former players.

That's a sick thing to do, not to mention rude.

Y'all love to talk Passive Aggressive around here...Tubby and some of the staff are very good at it, I wonder what they did to the Lawson Dad to bring it to a head.

They are remaking our Tiger program into their image. It's weird AF.

Ok thanks. Figured as much. Was hoping for more on Penny but par for the course for our existing ******* of a coach. He never disappoints.

Seems like everyday it’s something else. It’s like Tubby and Co don’t give a crap about the Leanord Drapers, Antonio Anderson’s, Memphis AAU And High School coaches. That they’re content and doing things their way. It absolutely has to end soon.

When Tubby took a vacation (literally) just after he got the Memphis job ---- well, it made me wonder. Yes 'only" wonder at that point. So clear looking back.

Don't know if it "documented" but during a very quick radio interview just after he got the job he said he was going on vacation. In fact he was at the airport. The interview lasted all of 5 minutes. He said Donna told him to hang up the phone. Will never forget it because it was so odd. I figured coming into a completely new situation he would have a lot of foundational work he needed to do. But I told myself that, somehow, it would get done. I couldn't have been more wrong.

He's just trying to get fired at this point.

I believe he mentioned it at his introductory press conference at the forum as well. BTW, remember how awkward and uninspiring that introduction was?
