Incredible game by Howard tonight against Providence. He single-handedly won the game for the Golden Eagles.

52 is the most points scored in a single game in MU history. It also ties the Big East record for points in a single game (set by MarShon Brooks of Providence a few years ago). He is also the only player in college basketball to score more than 50 this season. With 11 3PT FGs tonight, he tied his own Marquette record set against Chicago State in November.

RE: Markus Howard
yeah in just a crucial game for Marquette- with 6 of the next 7 games vs teams either in the top 25 or Butler just outside the top 25.

RE: Markus Howard
Howard was silly-good tonight dragging Marquette back after it looked like they coughed up the lead for good. This may wind up being an absolutely crucial performance come time to hand out NCAA bids.

Marquette's a really fun team to watch this year with their two tiny gunners.
