Embarrassing!
The most popular local sports talk host in town (Bobby Hartin) is doing his show live from the tournament today, but yes, this is a college baseball town. And specifically South Carolina and Clemson. Sapakoff (the main columnist for the newspaper) did a spring football column over the weekend, then a column before Sunday’s game.
I’ve seen him at like 3 CofC games this year.

Tribe in Charleston -- CAA Tourney

Too big?

Extremely doubtful due to NC State playing there (usually finishing the last week of reg season as our tournament begins), and they share it with the NHL’s Carolina Hurricanes.

Way too big. Had to have been the biggest arena the Tribe has ever played in three years ago.
The article listed Syracuse's Carrier Dome as the biggest in the ACC --- and the Tribe played there a few years back. The Tribe has also played at Louisville and UNC, which the article said were both bigger than PNC. It said PNC was the 4th biggest in the ACC and the 8th biggest in the NCAA.

This tournament just clearly isn’t getting fan support down here as much as I like the venue, location, etc.
Tourney in Charleston originally was set for two years. Then this year it was official that it would be an additional year. Then just last week some announcer said that it would be TWO more years. If true (not sure if it is), that would be 4 years in Charleston. What, no other city/venue is interested?
It's always been for three years.

"The first CAA Men's Basketball Championship in Charleston will be held March 3-6, 2017. Future tournament dates are March 2-5, 2018 and March 8-11, 2019."
There's nothing written anywhere about the agreement being extended.
