It was 53 degrees today and I was freezing. Brrrrr, I'm not used to this cold weather. It's getting to 36 degrees tonight. I might build an igloo.

That doesn't prove the hockey stick. And neither the hockey stick nor the impact of human action has bee demonstrated conclusively.

We should probably be making sensible changes to minimize or eliminate or even reverse human effects on global warming. But that's sensible changes. We should not be doing stupid stuff just because we created enough hype to scare people.
Most of the civilized world live in temperate zones, ie between the tropics and the arctic/Antarctic circles. Weather is dependent on atmospheric patterns and oceanic currents. Some seasons are colder or warmer than others. We had a mild summer and are having a cold winter. In the early 2000s when global warming alarmists were gaining followers, we had a string of 3-4 summers that were hotter than I have seen in the other 39 years of my life, winters without any snowfall, and a hurricane season that ran out of names and included Katrina, Rita, and Wilma. That isn't climate change. The climate in most of the US is temperate. It is a weather pattern that is dominant for a couple of years before another pattern becomes dominant. The fact of the matter is that we only really have data for about a hundred or so years and really only about 20 years with decent technology. In an earth that is supposedly 4.5 billion years old, they have jack. It is all random chaos and cannot be controlled by people. If you sit around a campfire, every so often the fire will flicker. One cannot create an environment where that can be controlled. No different than the sun, which tends to pulsate in 10,000 year cycles, but even within the cycles, the energy is random and not uniform. We are getting a foot of snow tonight and 2 days ago there was nothing in the forecast. We can learn from science, but it will always be chaos.

Curious, what educational background or formal training do you have to arrive at conclusions like this which seem to contradict most scientific research? Or is this just you talking based on your 39 years of life experience?

Read thoroughly. Careful though, there is some real science in there, no politics.
