I agree with all of this. I've always been a fan of white helmets in general, and last year's Cold Dark Perfect game last year vs SHSU cemented WPW as my favorite look. To me at least, the white helmet looks phenomenal and seems to "glow" at night (though I realize Frisco isn't a night game). But given the success with WPW in Frisco last year, no reason to change.

I loved the Duke dog logo at first but now hope we retire it in favor of the new JMU logo for the helmets. I watched a game with my wife and friends who aren't JMU alums and we were rocking the Duke dog logo on the black helmet I believe, and while I knew it was duke dog, none of them could tell what it was. Especially with the chrome mirror like finish on the logo. They said it just looked like a blob and after thinking about it from their perspective, I could see what they meant.

I agree with most of this but I really liked the Duke Dog logo on the white helmet. I definitely think it is too hard to make out on the black helmet, but then again I'm not a huge fan of the black helmet to begin with - at least with some of the uniform combos they've used it with this year. However, I thought the Duke Dog logo really popped on the white helmet.

On the JMU instagram live feed earlier, some of the players said the uniform combo is white helmets, purple jerseys, and white pants. Not sure what the decal on the helmets will be but one of the players said it is the "same look as last year".

If I recall, I don't think we've seen those white helmets with the JMU logo on them. While I like the Duke Dog head on the helmet, I think it's a good idea to have the JMU logo for a nationally televised game.
I think the last time the JMU logo was on white helmets was for a white out during the Withers era and the logo was silver without the stripe down the middle.

Agree 100%. It needs to be clear at first glance who is playing when you turn on the TV. While I love the duke dog logo, I do think the new block JMU logo is better. With the new logo on the white helmet, I think the WPW is the best home uniform combo. I think the PPW we wore against SDSU is second best.

white on green makes it easier for Schor to see WR's down the field. Helmet color matters for that.

it's the reason the Bills went from white to red years ago. Teams in their division at time were all white (Dolphins, Pats, Colts, Jets)
