And undefeated and never got a whiff of the playoffs. Not respected by the bigs. Congratulations on the win...seriously, but put down the pipe, straw, or booze.

Poor CUSA. They are having a hard time coping with how irrelevant the G4 is and having to root for UCF because they feel they are somehow associated with a win by the AAC vs P5. Yall aren't. LMFAO

But this game also showed a huge difference in P5 and G5......

UCF had 3 section and their band and Auburn filled 95% of the other seats. Why would Auburn get all the seats behind the UCF bench....30 to 30? Give them the worse seats.

Like the rest of us in the G5, UCF is only a wrong hire away from struggling and being forgotten. That's not a troll comment...just life in the G5

It’s one thing to have an opinion- it’s another to outright lie, which is what you just did.

I was there. UCF easily had 30-35K fans and we took over the entire UCF side of the stadium. Auburn was given the same seats, on their side, and couldn’t even fill their sections.

The allotments were exactly the same

The AAC isn't going anywhere collectively. It will always be G5.

But a few of the individual schools... wouldn't be surprised if they got poached. Most likely the Big XII. Memphis and Houston feel like the obvious candidates if it's two. Maybe Cincy and one of the Florida schools if it's more.

I don't think there is any obvious candidates.. Memphis, Houston, Cincinnati, or UCF would all flourish in the Big 12.

That one step would change an entire program and brand.
For this to be even talked about is thrilling and maybe one day dreams can come true.

That ship sailed. Big 12 passed & wasn’t interested.

Advantage based on what? You guys seriously believe the nonsense you babble? It’s either cute or sad I’m still trying to decide.

UCF didn’t even fill their little stadium during an undefeated season. Their head coach even called them out on it. What makes you think they will travel to Atlanta when they won’t travel down the block?

Of course thats how it works with every fan base. The truth is, it doesnt matter if the AAC is filling seats like UCF did. That was really impressive. The OP tweet in this thread has an actual crowd video that says it all.

Since the AAC went to 12 teams and added a champ game, both participants have ended the regular season ranked by the selection committee. **IF** the trend continues, it could be an advantage. The power conferences plus the AAC are regularly placing both the champ and runner up in the final ranking...12 spots accounted for.

LOL @ the lack of answers from the AAC fans acknowledging that just maybe Auburn didn't care about your bowl after beating two of the teams that did make the playoffs and then being forced to play a wannabe in the charity bowl. I mean that's always your excuse when we thump you guys in bowls. Does it not work both ways? Isn't it just possible you didn't get their best game because they were extremely disappointed at the outcome of the chosen teams for the top 4?

Let me ask it another way, do you still win if it's regular season and they are still playing for a playoff spot? Or are you undefeated if you had to play Georgia, Auburn, and Alabama to get that playoff spot for yourselves?

It's a nice win, but it hardly proves you belong. I'm sure the ferocity of your replies will only help fortify my point, so have at it.

It’s clearly obvious. Hang in there, Marshall may be relevant again soon.

just in case you want to claim it's a bias UCF fan on a forum making that claim. here is an article.

Quote:UCF is clearly the underdog in this afternoon’s Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl against Auburn, but the crowd makeup in Atlanta tells a different story.

The Knights have the clear crowd advantage at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Reporters on-scene say it could be as big as 70-30 in favor of UCF fans.

There was a rumor that there could be a ton of Nebraska fans in attendance supporting Scott Frost, but that doesn’t appear to be true.

The crowd advantage hasn’t helped UCF on the field yet, though.

The game is currently tied, 0-0. It’s being televised on ESPN.

espn played a trick on the viewers sitting at home...I see mostly orange in this picture at kickoff showing the UCF bench

This is such a crappy attempt at proving your point. That screenshot is terrible. I can't even tell which side that is much less it shows just a small portion of the seats.

It's the shot he had on TV, which was his point. ESPN made it appear it was all Auburn. And if so many UCF fans were there, surely one of them has a photo of their massive crowd they can post here to refute his claim, rather than a Houston fan, who wasn't there, refuting that claim for them.

I watched it on TV like millions of other college football fans. It looked at least 50-50. You G4ers chose the one crappy screenshot that doesn't prove a point for either UCF or Auburn.
