AP Rankings (Week of 1/1)
Villanova - #3
Xavier - #5
Seton Hall - #21

Two top-5 teams for the Big East, and Creighton/Butler are not far behind in the top-25.

RE: AP Rankings (Week of 1/1)
true- but not looking good to get more than 1 in next week-
Butler has to play both Xavier and Seton Hall next week
Creighton has a good chance- with St John's and Georgetown(though might not be enough oomph to get in depending on teams right around them)

Just think to get in the poll for Butler you'd need to see them going 2-0. That's going to be tough. Worst case would be Butler losing to Xavier and beating Seton Hall- knocking out Seton Hall while not getting ranked.

Really nice for the conference that Nova didn't drop too much. Agreed that Butler has a tough stretch coming up that'll make it difficult to sneak into the top 25, but being on the radar at this point in the season means they have a shot to sneak in later in the year and are well set-up for an at-large bid at the end of the year, so long as they keep playing well.
