But, as for as players not running the plays or whatever. what did u expect him to say?
'We were flawless in our execution. Everything went as planned.'

The one thing Tubby still appears to be very good at is throwing his players under the bus.

I expect him to say that the players are still learning and that he and the staff need to do a better job of teaching them and putting them in a position to win.

What nobody has mentioned in this thread is that I am 100% certain that the players had good intentions and wanted to run the plays, but couldn't.

There is no way you can run an offense when you have a point guard that can't get into the lane and can't create opportunities for other players. If this seems like a knock on Martin, it really isn't. For who he is, Martin is doing an incredible job. For a good team he would be amazing for 8-10 minutes per game per game, half as a point guard and half at the two.

It isn't his fault that he is being put in a situation where expectations are unreasonable. Tubby's fault for not recruiting a single point guard (aside from the departed Clergeot) when the team needs someone who can run the team.

Adjustments.

Good coaches make them.

And successfully.

Bad coaches don't.

You can't pretend Mike Conley is Steph Curry, he isn't.

That's part of what got Fizdale fired.

You have to coach the players you have, if you can't then you can't coach.
