RE: What's the best financial move with Doc?
this is doc's challenge this week....taking one on the road by keeping the "C" moving forward is the task at hand....

these guys don't suck....we simply don't have enough of them....

I think we are focusing on Doc's short game, but we need to focus on the long game. We have seen this game plan before with Larry Eustachy and James Green also.
We need a top notch recruiter who can sell the University, sell the Conference and sell the Team.

If it wasn't for L.Eustachy hooking his horns up to Greg Heiar, we would not have never gotten Gary Flowers, DJ Newbill, Lashay Page and Torye Pelham.
Larry was a solid tactician just like James Green. But James didn't want to admit that he needed a top recruiter and there was no support from the AD.

So, can our coach hook his horns with a top notch JUCO coach (Just like Greg Heiar) who is ready to ascend to the next level.
He could secure a short term extension (2 +yrs) with an NIT bid before his current contract expires. Do I think Doc has the cache to get this done.....
Can the AD Gilbert help him see the light (with a small infusion of cash) and do some succession planning...This could be a way to get us a top notch coach in waiting as Doc's clock keeps on ticking.
I will say that this is cheaper than buying out Doc.. For the record, I do think Doc is an OK coach in a bad situation.

"current task at hand" is the way I should've phrased it.....

I figured it was implied.....

again, I'm giving Doc next year w/o questioning......DT ****** us.....there's no other way to view it unless one simply enjoys being a biatch.....

we have plenty of those.....
