All joking aside, I expect this "rioting" to end the same way. While it's clear a large group of Iranians are growing tired of the failed Iranian caliphate, IMO there's not enough of them. The Iranian gov't will clamp down on them, and in a few months we'll forget this happened until 7-8 years from now when it happens again. It sucks, but I think the Iranian gov't has created a far more powerful base that can keep the "peasants" in line. Similarly to NK. The only actual regime change that will ever occur is with the military assistance of foreign powers, the same way it happened in Libya, Iraq, etc. That's the scary thing about regime changes too, it could turn out like Egypt... or it could turn out like Iraq. It's a coin toss. And that's not me saying Egypt is great, but in the end it didn't turn into a devastating power vacuum and war torn country like Iraq or Libya. Difference being, we didn't send troops or assistance of course.
