Did they cancel basketball season?

And crumbling away?? What!?? NO ONE at SMU expected either to be back, especially Courtland.

sutton was gone but trey was expected to stay...he has a 4th round grade...before morris left most analyst predicted he'd be back to improve his stock

You’re getting bad information if someone told you he was expected to stay at SMU. There were quite a few who thought he might follow Morris to Arkansas as a grad transfer, but most thought he would declare.

You're confused. It's either both WR's or one WR. Which is it? If it's the former, perhaps you should amend the thread title to reflect that.

that is post morris taking arkansas. im talking when morris was still at SMU. they even said it mid game once, that sutton should leave but quinn has a chance to be special next year and this was a end of the year game

In all of my years of watching football, I think Sutton may be one of the best WR's I have ever seen. I think he is probably still scoring touchdowns on UNT.

RE: Both SMU WR's declare for draft
Those two gave us some exciting moments this year. Neither one could have improved their draft status by staying another year. Best of luck in the NFL. And thanks fellows. Sutton recruited by June Jones as safety (signed on last day when Colorado reneged on his offer), he quickly saw Suttons potential in his offense. Quinn top high school WR in Louisiana, don't know why he never got it going at LSU, but so happy to see him excel and achieve what he did at SMU.

Thanks! This is like an extra Christmas present. Now, I'm really looking forward to our Sept. 1st game against the Mustangs.

Can't blame either player. Thought both demonstrated NFL skills in their game vs. the Bearcats. SMU will likely struggle next year ad they are losing some excellent players and an outstanding coach.

You forgot 3rd round pick Carlos Henderson, he score 5 TD against UNT in one game

Quinn might be late round pick but he doesn't have the skill set of a Trent Taylor who was 5th round pick last year.

I think so too, he is going have to go out in recruit speed big time because that SMU team is devoid of speed especially in the trenches

Sutton won't just succeed, he'll be a top 10 NFL wideout. Dude is legit.
