Well it was an exciting game and enjoyed the ending!
On a side note, during one of the timeouts, AD's and Presidents of each University were recognized, so were the conference commissioners. When Benson was announced Aggie fans booed him.

I take it that the Aggies are celebrating on their own and have moved on from us Sun Belters.
Still, I think the New Mexico State bowl appearance and win is a completely undersold story nationally. It should at least get the kind of attention Northwestern got for finally making the NCAA tournament. Great job, Aggies, if any of you are still paying attention to this board.
Many Aggie fans are probably still wobbling home from Tucson! You may see a few more posts later this weekend.
I will still follow the Sun Belt board - a lot of down to earth, real posters here. This is an informative and entertaining board to read.
And, I appreciate the support from almost all the Sun Belt posters here. It's too bad it didn't work out for NMSU, but I can understand where the conference is trying to go. Independence will be interesting, but with the bowl success, maybe we can make it work. We should get a good boost for a while at least.
Best of luck to the SBC. Maybe our conference paths will cross again.

I hope it does. Arkansas State was one of the schools that voted to KEEP NMSU in the league. Hopefully you guys are invited back pretty soon or get invited to another league. Great win and best of luck going forward.

I bet Benson checked the road signs out of town to make sure he wasn't at stAte. We have made him feel welcome that way too.
