What the phuck was Carey doing when (4th and 18) from his own end zone, he throws in an attempt for the first down???? Still baffled by that play! The guy was covered! Why didn't the punter punt it? This was something I would expect from Brian Kelly, but Carey? Hell no.

Heck, I’m still trying to figure out why Anus Enos went for it on 4th down on CMU’s *OWN* 32 yard line in the 3rd quarter against Kentucky in a close game some years ago...

Carey is the only one that could even rationalize something like that. The rest of us are as puzzled as you. What's even worse is that he's mister conservative both in which players get playing time, and freaking taking knees with a minute and a half left to go before halftime, with timeouts remaining.

Thanks 007. I wasn't sure if the punter got some Motown street cocaine before the game, and decided he was going to play qb, or he just lost track of where he was and what down it was.
