Brohm's Boilermakers
Looking pretty good out there. Developing nice O and reminiscent of the WKU predecessors.

RE: Brohm's Boilermakers
I STILL can't believe that Tennessee didn't hire Brohm. He was the answer to all of their football needs. But, the dumb bastards turned right around and hired another defensive guru, who still won't be any better on offense than Butch Jones was.

RE: Brohm's Boilermakers
Yeah, I tuned in today to see our former coaching staff do what they used to do at WKU. Even the locker room speeches, the intensity. We lost so much and it showed on the field. You either have it or you don't tight from the start. Its not the wins and losses your first year of taking over the program. Its how the team receives you and the decisions you make and what your team looks like on the sidelines, and in our bowl game our players looked lame. And the Georgia State coach had their team flying. Our new coach does not have it.
Let's see Brohm wins the bowl game and finishes with a winning season at 7-6 against Arizona
WKU's Sanford and Son get smoked by Georgia State. and WKU finshes with a 6-7 losing season.
i think Purdue hired a great coach and FAU and FIU hired a much better coach than we did.
Yes Dawg UT blew it big time not hiring Brohm

I’ve said before and I’ll say it again. The only unknown about JB is his recruiting. Everything else he has it covered. We were lucky to have him here for 4 years. Purdue is lucky to have him now.

I had no idea that Louisiana Tech did all of those stadium upgrades. The press box looks awesome! Do you have any other pictures of the new additions?

RE: Brohm's Boilermakers
Watched most of the Purdue game last night and it was depressing to watch for a WKU fan...Camera was on Holt most of the game, I certainly miss his intensity, then you have Brohm running pretty much the same plays he did in WKU's last few bowl games, pregame speeches, etc...Commentators mentioning our name a ton....To make matters even more depressing Purdue's QB is a Kentucky guy and Brohm has a bunch of Kentucky guys already on roster and I am sure a lot more coming....Just was a sad watch for me at least haha...
But I was thinking, I mean why would Brohm stay at WKU after what he did? We have hardly any support for WKU in our own city of BG, much less anywhere else...When Brohm looked around and saw 13k for a title game, what do you think he was thinking? Man I am glad I am getting out here with these pathetic fans is probably most likely his thoughts....So as a fan base with the minimal support we got when we were winning its only fair we have a crappy coach/staff right now....Todd was due also for a bad hire...That being said, I am not writing off Sanford after one season just due to looks like the guy can recruit but like most WKU fans I am more sad about losing Brohm a year later even more than I thought I would be....

RE: Brohm's Boilermakers
If I'm a big P5 school looking for a new head coach, Brohm is at the very top of my coaching list.

Speaking or recruiting in Kentucky. On ESPN 680 in Louisville they were talking about where in state kids were going and how few had Louisville or Kentucky as their choice. They named off all the top 10 kids and seemed like half were going to Purdue and one to WKU and none to Louisville or UK. I know Kentucky is not a hot bed for football players but it is odd almost none are going to Lexington.

If UK doesn't care about football past making a bowl every 3-4 years, why should kids want to go there that play football. They know they will always be second fiddle to basketball. At least at Louisville they emphasize both, but Louisville doesn't recruit KY, either. Hell, we grabbed some Kentucky boys to put in the trenches this year. Big boys. Maybe Brohm can change the perception of Kentucky talent and more kids will get the opportunity to play near home.

RE: Brohm's Boilermakers
When Howard brought Brohm in as QB coach years ago to FAU, I had hopes that he was going to groom him as head coach in waiting. If that had happened we would of been spared 3 years of Pelini and 3 years of Partridge. Course then we probably wouldnt have Kiffin either.
Hes a hell of a coach.
