Illinois also took a recruit from us (Julian Pearl). If Illinois, Northwestern, or any other P5 schools wanted to clean house in Illinois they could. Carey isn't taking Illinois high schoolers from them.

Absolutely. If offered by both, 9 times out of 10 a guy is picking U of I over NIU.

NIU gets guys that U of I doesn’t want.
