Good move with D-line being one of the bigger questions going into next season

Assuming the new guys are as good as the hype, theoretically that leaves us with Carter, Carter, Moye, and Terell (Houston said he would immediately contend for starting job at KAT). Could one of our biggest question marks become one of our biggest strengths?

Looks like a good pick up. Interior lineman will be a need with Robinson and Urquhart graduating.

nah, not really. with some coaches, perhaps. but we know what kind of program Houston runs. a transfer can be a risk to your locker room, but so can a HS recruit that hasn't even experienced college life/responsibilities yet. literally a 0% worry for me.

Not at all. With such. Quick announcement of his transfer and commitment to to JMU, a violation of team rules could have come because he was reaching out to other schools and by putting out feelers and talking to coaches about his impending transfer.

This. There's no way he would take a guy with character issues. He's brought in great people so far. I cannot imagine he'd bring him in if he there was even a question about his character.

Saw they stripped his scholly but was going to allow him to stay on as a walk-on. Figure if it would have been that bad he would have been kicked out all together.

Allegedly, the honors board at UVA wouldn't let him and a teammate back for stealing.

Don't know of any truth to that (UVA board rumors) , but they were suspended for the VT game (both contributors to the DL), then left after even with a bowl game coming.

Moye was a good run defender, and a high motor type guy, not a great pass rusher. Should be solid if no other problems

I am sure that HCMH and the rest of the staff will make sure that he and any other transfers or new people toe the line and follow all the team rules. If not, he has no compunction to sit people, reference end of last season with the 7 that were suspended deep in the playoffs. Team comes first at JMU and the coaching staff doesn't seem to allow any shenanigans to happen.

Hopefully a low risk / high reward move. Big body for the middle of the D-line which we need, and if UVA pulled his scholly it's unlikely JMU is giving him anything other than a partial if that.

I believe the 7 that were suspended at the end of last season (and into this season) were a result of failed NCAA drug tests in the playoffs, not due to HCMH disciplinary actions.

3 UVA transfers on the 2 deep now, 1 starting. So slated to have 5 former UVA players on the team next season, and potentially 4 or all 5 starting.

Word is getting out that we’re THE University of Virginia.

I actually have a T shirt that says that on the back!!! JMU on the front.
