Keep living on a wing and a prayer! That’s how you managed a win against us. I witnessed it in person - be thankful for miracles! And good luck on making your first dance! We’ll see you next year at the Ted.

And don’t even post...what about the last two years. Again, good luck making your first dance and we’ll see your tight @sses next year at the Ted. “The Kap” was the stodgiest “arena” I’ve ever been in.

Would love to talk sh** to them with you, but we have nothing to say. They have owned us.

...I was there at the last game, and it was a freaking miracle. And their shooters had the games of their lives. And when someone comes to your front door to talk sh**, it’s on!

“Tribal” needs to exit the Lions Den

Agreed - I root for all VA teams when it comes to the big dance (...except VCU). I would love for Bill&Mary to become like VCU so a win meant something against them. But it will never happen for a number of reasons. Their coach is awesome, but we will always be expected to beat them. I can remember the CAA days when it was an absolute joke to play them - two guaranteed wins each year. So kudos to them for elevating their sports brand - but we will always be expected to beat them.

What's funny is my original post was simply to state that we--right now--have a good RPI. That will help you with an at large bid. If I wanted to talk smack, I would've come here after we beat you for the 6th time in the last 7. Honestly just wanted to share the good info then rat terrier started nipping and made it easy with the cupcake smack about the last two matchups.

One of my closest friends of 35 years has a son who starts for you. I promised him no smack until his son graduates, but ol 43 yo disc jockey 96 had to lob the softball. You won't play us in football and you'll soon stop playing us in basketball because you can't win so there's no longer a rivalry. Good luck on your Texas roadtrip.

We could play w&M in football. Im not opposed to 1 FCS tune up game per year.

In basketball, I hope the games go on. I enjoy playing you guys. Good luck, it would be odd not ever having your team make it to the big dance.

Agree on basketball. I think we should even consider playing the game annually at the Hampton Coliseum and make it a bigger event for the entire area.

Not happpening however in football unless we choose two FBS OOC (personally wouldn't mind that). No way W&M is going to substitute games with UVA, Tech, Stanford, etc. to play ODU.

You do realize we lead all of Division I in 3-pt shooting (47%)? So, our shooting was par for the course, minus the half-court hit.

Yes, I’m aware you have shooters. Hopefully, they will get you to your first dance. Good luck.

In all candor, I’m glad you’re on the schedule every year. And I look forward to the game at the Ted next year. Hopefully, the rim won’t tighten for your shooters in the CAA tournament.

FAU’s broadcast stinks. Graphics are all over the gameplay. Trying to watch last 10!seconds and it’s horrible.

Edit: the audio and video are not in sync with the audio being about 5 seconds behind.

Bill&Mary “CAA/other opponents” thread is pretty entertaining. Panties definitely in a wad.

As if Scope wasn't bad enough. I'd much rather schlep up to W&M every other year and let them schlep down here.

Absolutely - their post is trying to say they’re on the same level as us in basketball, and thus merit higher status at a neutral site for the benefit of the community. Which is an absolute joke. However, the poster above is indicating they have higher level options at football (Stanford, UVA, Tech) and wouldn’t dare stoop to change their football schedule to play us. They are not as good as they think they are.

RE: 2017-2018 Basketball Games of Interest
I don't think William and Mary (or Richmond) will be on the ODU schedule for a long time. They've already got their FBS game locked in until the mid-2020s, and against ACC and Big 10 teams that will pay an awful lot more for a televised game vs. ODU and whatever public access-level package CUSA has by then.

JMU probably won't come to ODU for the same reasons, plus the whole optics of taking a buy game from a program that wasn't in existence 10 years ago while their fans figured they were FBS/1-A bound sooner rather than later.

A good team that loses some random games. This happens all over the country.

ODU may not have many sexy wins (or any) but at least there's no bad losses. Just like football! Temple still some-crazy-how has a 40 RPI after a 60-39 shitbomb of a loss to Central Florida. William and ******* Mary is now sporting a 55 RPI. VCU brings up the rear with a 104.

Agreed - gotta like where we sit (which, of course, could change). A few bounces go our way, and we could easily be undefeated (woulda/shoulda...I know). This week will be HUGE. If we can get both wins this week we are going to be riding high and most likely getting a few votes. B&Mary will come back to earth soon enough - or will choke in the CAA finals. But will be fun to watch.
