They are so much better at the messaging aspect of politics. Did you guys know that the nobody's taxes are going up over the next decade and pretty much everyone's has gone down? Many corporations are going to hire more and invest more in domestic programs and development. Why aren’t the airwaves filled “Australia and other countries realize the GOP tax plan will boost American business”. NBC, ABC, and CBS are effective weapons for you guys. I tell myself just to worry about me. Me personally I have never had it as good, but I worry about the future. We are well on the path to straight toltarian statism, if Pelosi gets her way. When will the dems stop calling everyone "literally Hitler" and every bill they don't like Armageddon? People stop talking to each other and instead just berate anyone who has a different opinion as being hateful.

Dems are reduced to outright lies and identity politics. Unfortunately this is the way it's going to be until they actually find a message that appeals to more than just the sjw's and closet socialists.

A prosperous America to the Democrats is like Kryptonite to Superman. The way for Democrats to increase their base is more people on government programs. They accuse the Republicans of being racist. But honestly all they are doing is tilting at windmills. In the words of Bill Clinton "It's the economy stupid" Americans vote their pocketbooks.

Mach...Id like to see numbers that support the 9% figure..but..if that is true?...then Id expect that savings to passed on to those that actually pay it....individuals that buy goods and services from them. If that is true then expect to see prices fall across the board due to competition. That is good for those that have the least in our economy.

There is a lot of misinformation and speculation being spread around from both sides on this issue. This time next year we will see if this tax plan has done what it was supposed to do...stimulate the economy...bring back jobs from abroad and increase revenues due to having more tax payers. If not? It is on the GOP and the results will be catastrophic for the party IMO at the next election cycle. Im betting the former..but..I could be wrong. Other dynamics could come into play(international issues, war, terrorism..ect) that could derail this.

The vast majority of corporations are not traded on the stock market. Your overt hate for megacorporation has blinded you to who this bill helps, which includes every vendor your school buys from. It will increase competition and theoretically leave more money for teachers salaries, though in reality it will probably lead to hiring more fat, infertile middle-aged women to process paperwork at the district office. Your anger is misplaced. Big government and high taxes crush the teachers.

Please show me where the corporate tax rate is 9%, and if we want to talk "effective" tax rate let's talk about how people who make under $24,000 pay an effective rate of zero.

What was the break point under Obama for that? oh yea $12,700 so trump has raised, significantly, the number of people on the low end who will pay 0 federal taxes.

Further than that the Trump plan makes sure people who own modest homes can still deduct their interest but people who own very expensive homes will pay more in.

To sell this as a bill loved by the wealthy and only the wealthy is disingenuous.

Serious question, what would you do to keep companies manufacturing stuff here instead of moving their manufacturing operations out of country? I'm not talking making shoes, but good manufacturing jobs?

The profitability is overwhelmingly concentrated in a few tech companies that are favored by the Democrats.

Do you have a problem with companies giving their employees bonuses?

Democrats and Republicans alike have ignored the working class for decades. Hence, Donald Trump. He is the only one who would acknowledge they have suffered from the trade agreements and uncontrolled immigration. Both parties have catered to the college educated, who are only 30-40% of the population. That group has done very well. Republicans want to give people a chance. Most people don't want welfare. They want opportunity. Republican policies encourage small business. There is no more Republican group than small businessmen. And small businesses create most new jobs.

That is a total guestimate and more than likely the best case scenario which may only happen once to a large corporation. It's not like every corp will be able to benefit from all the deductions and maximize it down.

I ran into a former shop employee that works at a mfg facility in the 'burg owned by JCI.....

not only did he get a nice little bonus, but was enticed to work regular hrs this week at TRIPLE PAY.....

yeah, it might be a tax incentive based move, but he was all grins......oh yeah, he is black and was talking up DJT....

this is what the dems are truly fearing......
