For those that won't be able to make the trip to Frisco, any recommendations on the best place to watch the game in Harrisonburg? Will there be a viewing party in the club room at Bridgeforth?

I am sure there will be a viewing party but it won’t be in the club as all of the athletic staff will be in frisco.

so I assume O'Neills is still the best spot? Do any of the downtown bars have good crowds to watch games?

I think last year a department on campus (Alumni Relations?) organized official viewing parties at various places around town posted on the University's site. Just make sure to get there early - I went to Brick House Tavern last year and it was packed with purple 30-45 minutes before kickoff.

Have heard a lot of interest for watch parties in the Valley.

Brothers Craft Brewing is doing one pot luck style- bring a covered dish and get $1 off your drafts.

Pale Fire Brewing

This list will grow and I'll update it. As for the "best" one - the best one is going to be where you take a friend or two, and make a friend or two, and the Dukes win.

I'd imagine every sports bar in Harrisonburg will be all about it. Last year we went to BWW for the NDSU game and it was great. It was literally on every single TV in there.

Time Out Sports Bar on the south side of town on Main Street is great. It is part of the bowling alley. Should not be crowded and cheap, cold beer. I haven't been there for years as I don't live in the area any longer, so I would call ahead just to be sure they are open and showing the game. Beats the huge crowds you are going to run into at other, better-known places.

There is an Alexandra location listed. There are typically a couple of options in northern Virginia. I don't think there is typically a "DC" location, but I could be wrong.

You could reach out to the Metro Dukes to see what they have in the works.

This event (also listed on that link) is about as close to DC as you'll probably get - meaning it's a quick Metro ride to Arlington. I'm curious if anyone here went to the event they had last year and how it was. $45 gets you all you can eat and drink so seems like a pretty good deal.

Can say that Basic Burger will have their event (post above) along with likely A-Town in Ballston

Had some people who went to the event at Chinese Disco in Georgetown last year and said it was a blast too.

Basic City Beer Company in Waynesboro will be opening by 11:30 and have the game on. Nothing official, just some JMU alums and fans getting together to watch the game. Best beer in the area IMO.

If you know the people running it, you should suggest to them that they make a Facebook event for it and promote it a little like they do for many other events. It could/would also then get share by the alumni group.
