Dick Enberg is a loss to broadcasting and to the world of sports. He was poised, articulate, and knowledgable.

He was truly a great representative of CMU. He will be missed.

Thanks, Boston. I think that's the way most people thought of him. I remember him being the Grand Marshall at a CMU homecoming (years ago), and he was sitting on the back of a corvette convertible as it made its way through campus. He looked up to a window in Barnard Hall (I think), there was a male student (presumably with his girlfriend) watching the parade, and Enberg says, "hey, that used to be a girls dorm when I was here." The guys shouts back, "It still is!" The crowd screams and applauds, and Enberg gives a double thumbs up! He'll be sorely missed.
