I didn't watch the UC game, Star Wars the Last Jedi called. It was pretty good, despite the Rotten Tomato Users scores posted by throngs of angry fanboys.

I'm happy we are done with these crap low major RPI bombs.

The real season starts now...on to conference. We need to win the AAC, WSU aside and start to establish dominance like we did in CUSA. Go Cats!

These are the types of games UC should be playing in the non-conference schedule going forward. MAC, Horizon, and A-10 teams will actually force you to get better. Cleveland State played really well yesterday which put actual game pressure on the Cats and allowed UC best players to respond.

Now the that non-conference season is thankfully over, UC can get down to winning the conference. Overall the conference schedule is about a difficult as its going to get in the American. UC plays four games against great teams (SMU, Wichita State). Six games against good teams (Temple, UCF, Houston). Six games against solid teams (UConn, Tulsa, Memphis, Tulane.) Two games against awful teams (USF, ECU). This is highest ratio of quality games to poor games every in the American. Even the first year in the league UC played 8 games against good to great teams but outside of Houston which would have qualified in the average/solid category, everyone else really bad that year. Four out ten teams had less than 12 total wins. This season ten out of the twelve teams are projected to have 15 wins or more with computer rankings now worse than 155. 2015 season, UC played nine conference games against sub 200 teams. 2016 season, the league was a four bid league even with SMU on the sidelines, Cats only played five gamest sub 200 team in league. Overall the conference is setting up to be at least a four bid league this year and there are many resume building games left on the schedule.

*got to meet BearcatMark at a local watering hole prior to the game. Nice to meet you, Mark. Glad to be able to put a face to a name.

The atmosphere is determined by the students, who just weren't there. I was there, but was with my Dad. He took advantage of the $25 GA seating they had available.

This year, outside of a handful of games, will probably be one of the lowest student attended years we've had in a LONG time. It probably be better if they didn't get rid of free student parking or free shuttles. It's $15 a month for a bus pass.

Wait, they're actually charging students for a ride to the game?

Yes. Per month fee.

Seems ridiculous to me.

Yeah, they told us free shuttles initially and since the start of the season, it's been $15 a month.

It's cheaper for us to drive there in groups.
