I seem to remember someone commenting that his schemes were too complicated, but my memory is not too reliable. Anyone want to venture an opinion?

Don't know for sure, but my lasting memory was that our team came out of the locker room absolutely flat every time- emotionally. My guess is that Sidney was so used to pro play that he had forgotten that emotion, and pumping up, means a lot in college play, in addition to x's and o's.

The team should always be ready to play. And play consistently game after game. Newell told me you never want the team to play on emotion because it promotes inconsistency.
