I'm excited to see SMU at full strength in league play. SMU obviously is lacking a little in size, but there's no one in the league (or maybe the country for that matter) with the depth of talent they have at positions 1-3. Wichita State and Cincinnati are more balanced, but if SMU can win at home like they usually do they will be right there competing for the regular season championship.

Won the Conference and Tourney last year with small line-up. Should have the same sort of shot at both. McMurray a real boost, now 6 starters. If Agau gets healthy, then foul trouble should not be an issue with 7, which killed us at TCU.

I definitely believe SMU can win again with a small line-up. But if they are going to keep getting these rangy, 6-4"-6'7" wing types, I would love to see them find a Gary Clark type to pair with that line-up -- someone who can run with the wings but is a bruiser down low. Obviously those types of players don't grow on trees. I'm afraid Cincinnati will take a big step back after he graduates unfortunately.

Chargois is pushing 6’10”. He is one of those guys who was a guard until he hit growth spurt late in HS. Definitely more of an outside in big but he has a nice post game and surprisingly effective on the defensive end. He was AAC freshman of the week last week.

Shocks seem to graduate more muscle than anyone else after this season. Six guys who get minutes?

Yea, this guy is for real. He is going to give us problems. Smu looked like the complete package against Boise.

Yep. We lose 6'8" 279 lb Morris, 6'10" 232 lb Nurger, 6'9" 225 Willis, 6'7" 227 lb Kelly, 6'6" 213 Brown, & 6'1" 170 lb Frankamp. All average more than 18 minutes a game currently.

That's a lot of beef on the frontline we are losing. We have some talented young guys coming in but I expect it to take a while to get them up to speed. Much will depend on whether Shamet and McDuffie stay or go.

Not too different a situation from ours last year to this. Good program won’t win the AAC every year but (to me) the mark of a successful program is one who regularly grabs an NCAA bid every year. I look forward to getting four or five bids regularly.
You and Cincy are there. SMU and Houston seem headed there. UCONN and Memphis: been there. Florida and Tulane: work to do. ECU: 05-mafia
