Tech wins by 41, and has had more than 3x as many NFL draft picks as SMU since 2013.
And you say SMU has much more talent? That is so stupid and biased it is funny lol
look at recruit ranking...you know the thing that evaluates all 84 on the roster not just the 7 over 5 years that were drafted
uconn doesnt have the most talent in the aac or even close. they have the most draft picks....your straw man argument is so weak
There is nothing weak about 42-3 in second quarter and 3 times as many NFL players
It really is laughable if you hang your hat on high school recruit rankings.
Don't be Naive, High school recruit rankings don't mean anything at the G5 level. I can point to many examples of teams rank first and second in conference but few years later have miserable seasons.
Some examples off the top of my head, Trent Taylor drafted 5th round 49'ers no star ranking, Hunter Lee no star ranking walk-on. The list goes on and on. High School recruit rankings are a joke especially at the G5 level
Says the fan of a school in a crumbling conference that has been reduced to upholding Bowl games as the last great hope and pride of a dying conference.

thats probability on numbers...
there are over a million 2 star or lower every year, 100k 3star...there are about 400 or so 4star and 10 5star
its obvious someone in that 1 million can make it through..but if you look at the numbers id rather have a 1/500000 success rate than 1/2 as seen with 4star and 5star
you keep saying that smu doesnt have talent when the #1 projected WR in this draft is from smu
i dont know why you are in denial. a team that scored at will (versus some elite defenses) then losses all of its coaches, then losses all of its interim coaches....then cant score a point vs a 6-6 c-usa team that wasnt that good on defense
anyone with common sense not biased wouldnt say it was lack of smu talent, or la tech just got magically that much better..but that smu lost all of it coaches
also the comment about recruit ranking dont matter at the g5 level is non-sense..look at the top 3 recruiting g5 in the mwc (boise fresno and sdsu. they are around the 70 range nationally, the rest of the mwc recruits at the 100 range...coincidentally those are the 3 that regularly control that conference)
also please stop with the draft argument its dumb, you keep saying triple the amount of draft picks.. ignoring those draft picks make up less than 3% of you entire roster..college talent isnt based around draft picks...getting 3 picks instead of 1 ddoesnt mean you overall had more talent...aka look at uconn

RE: ***Official DXL FRISCO BOWL GAME THREAD*** LA Tech vs some G4 team
Let's cut to the chase. The only measurement in college football that matters is how you do vs. the P5. So, with that said, since 2010 here's how many wins the members of the CUSA have vs. how many the members of the American have over the Big Boys Club;
81- THE AMERICAN
22- CUSA
Since 2010, we've won over some of the biggest programs in the sports like Clemson, Oklahoma, Georgia, Notre Dame, TCU, UCLA, Virginia Tech, Penn State, and Florida State to name a few.

I agree that stars matter when talking about team wide recruiting. Strangely this year BSU has a jr going pro who was a 2 star walk on from a school who played 8 man football. Won the mwc defensive player of the year this year.

I don't think anyone has said that the AAC is not a good conference. Every school in our conference would certainly like to be a member. However, in this case, your conference brethren came out in this thread defensively when no one attacked, and then turned that defensive position into an attack. Tech soundly defeated SMU, that is not disputable. It certainly appeared that Tech had better players, which also is not rationally disputable. If there is a score difference of 41 points, the team with the better players won.
