RE: OT: Lane Kiffin Explains Why He Ran Up Score On Akron
Why did he run up the score? Because he's a class-A jerk who is pouting about not getting a "big time" job offer.

I agree, Classless and Class A Jerk.

Agree...it works for him though. He's gotten plenty of publicity for himself and FAU on ESPN the past few days...even more this morning after the beat down of Akron. I still say that the MAC should have pushed for us to play them in Boca...would have been a much better game.

On one hand running up the score sucks, but on the other hand, you have to represent. Compete. I knew Akron was overmatched for this game. I just hope the MAC doesnt go O-fer in bowl season.

It shouldn't.

I'm fine with representing...I draw the line at going for 2 after a late TD in a game that is already a blowout.

RE: OT: Lane Kiffin Explains Why He Ran Up Score On Akron
It was 50-3 early in the 4th and FAU was running at will and someone from Akron was an azzhat. Don't care for Kiffin but don't object here either. He could have run it up much more, he didn't. Message hopefully received and no, this shouldn't have even been a bowl match-up. It was an insult to FAU.

I don't like Kiffin but
A) FAU will ride the publicity as much as possible. Florida is a competitive place. In a state with South and Central Florida, they will do what it takes to get noticed. They also know Kiffin won't stay long, no matter what kind of toke contract they give him.
B) Kiffin loves the headlines because he wants to coach a power 5 school
C) Akron is awful. They have no offense. How did they become bowl eligible?

We are partially to blame.

We beat them in every statistical category except the scoreboard. Race between the 20s and then stall out in the red zone.

This was a weather-postponed game due to flooding rains, so the game was held on a Sunday afternoon in front of a handful of people in the stands. Even in those circumstances, we Bronco fans are at a loss on how we crapped the bed. Worst loss of the season.

OU is saying the same thing. Two of the most mysterious conf loses this season.

WHAT kind of contract did he get? Maybe he should be seeking the Colorado job!

It was an extension through 2027. He gets $950,000 a year. No way he will be there that long. His original contract called for a 2.5 million dollar buyout that would decrease $500,000 each year, following the first year.

Referring specifically to the “toke” portion of the post. One of the non-monetary benefits?

Id hate to have a coach that took attention away from his players. He is selfish. The Lane Train??? Candle and company would derail that train.
