The German guy seems like a massive project. Obvious good size. I wonder what kind of an athlete he is. Only rated a 2* on 247.

RE: Signing Day
So what do we know about this German? Does he project to the offensive or defensive line? With his measurables it’s hard not to see him being groomed as a left tackle.

The video we saw the guy is really fast and is very athletic. Georgia Tech offered him last week.

A guy that size, I think you take a flyer on anyways. It's not like they just looked at his stats and said they wanted him. They liked what they saw on tape.

I would imagine he eventually ends up on the OL.

Hopefully you're right. If the GT offer from last week is legit that gives me some hope. They landed a highly rated German kid in this class already.

RE: Signing Day
I don't know much about Vann other than what has been said about him across the UC message boards, but I am still impressed at how early this staff identified him as a must get target, and even through a rocky season was able to keep him and get him signed.

With the hype surrounding him it seems there are a large number of P5 schools that he could have gone to, yet chose to stay home in Ohio. It warms my icy black heart.

The official GT offer verified on his twitter feed on 12/11 where he was thanking them. Word was he is timed sub 5.0 in the 40. Guy that size, that is nuts.

RE: Signing Day
The great things about the early signing day are:

1. Don't have to worry about these kids being poached
2. Not everyone will sign today but the ones that do already have their grades and scores for admission.
3. The entire staff can focus on the remaining handful of spots and the 2019 class starting tomorrow.

I don't know...he reminds me quite a bit of Margus Hunt when he was at SMU. I could easily see him being a project DE. That kind of athleticism and size is exceptionally rare, and would make him a bear to deal with as a rush end with that kind of arm length.

RE: Signing Day
So the German Giant signing is one nice surprise then. Meechi Harris announces his choice at 12:45 ET which the crystal balls are saying Cincy.

Any other big-time Bearcat targets making a decision today?
