Quick Dive into TCU:

* The Horned Frogs, coached by TCU Alum Jamie Dixon, is ranked No. 15 in the AP Top 25 poll, its highest ranking since the 1997-98 season. The Frogs are ranked No. 12 by USA Today.

* TCU won its 16th straight game, dating back to last season. The current streak ties Texas Christian’s longest winning streak in school history from the 1997-98 season. The Frogs currently hold the longest winning streak in the NCAA, and is one of only four undefeated NCAA DI teams.

* TCU outrebounded Texas Southern 51-29 overall and 25-9 on the offensive glass.

* 6'7" Sr. Guard, Kenrich Williams hit a 3-pointer for the 10th-straight game. He has made 10 of his last 13 attempts from three over the past three games. Williams scored 17 points, his eighth-straight game in double-figures and is averaging a team best 14.5 ppg and 9.5 rpg.

* 6'5" So. Guard Desmond Bane scored only nine points against TSU. It was the first time this season he did not score at least 10 points in a game. He did bring down a career-high 10 rebounds. He averages 12.8 ppg.

* Bane and Williams both shoot over 50% from Three. The Horned Frogs shoot 42.1% from distance.

* All five starters average in double figures as the Frogs average 87.6 ppg (take the over Friday night). They give up 72.4 ppg.

(So far, no announcement of any TV/streaming)

The Tribe will need a hot start and a full team effort, offensively and defensively, to stay in this one.

RE: DISA & DATA for TCU Week
Some nice TCU pre-game notes, billymac ...
Sounds like Towson is off to a great start this year.
For several years now, they've been a matchup nightmare for the Tribe. Seems like we never play well against them, no doubt due to their physical style of play and athleticism.
Hope that changes this year.
It's interesting to note that Towson coach Pat Skerry was an assistant coach at W&M from 2000-2003.
Skerry was one of the finalists for the head job when Shaver was hired in 2003.
Somehow, I don't think Skerry's style of play would have been as good of a fit in Williamsburg as it is at Towson.
Incidently, the two other guys who were finalists in the interview process when Shaver was hired were Mike Longergan and Ken Tyler.
Lonergan went on to be the big whistle at Vermont and then at GW, where he was fired last year for verbal and emotional abuse of his players.
And Tyler is now the AD at Mary Washington.
