This Aggie team has a lot of tenacity. They find a way to fight back. NMSU has gone through three coaching changes in three years and the program hasn't missed a beat. Jans is proving to be a special coach.

and just when WAC teams like Utah Valley and Grand Canyon thought after losing our 2nd coach in two years, that NMSU would fall, but we only get stronger. NMSU is still Rome of the WAC.

Well, NMSU will get a real test. They meet #6 Miami (FL) in the next round of the Diamond Head Classic. The Aggies are playing better now than when they met St. Mary's in November but the Aggies would have to play a flawless game in order to have a slim chance. But that's why the games are played. Anything is possible.

I think it its great that NMSU is playing Miami regardless of the outcome. Miami probably would never have wanted to schedule the Aggies or anyone in the WAC for that matter. So this is a good test before WAC play.

I wouldn’t call being down 11 against a top tier program like Louisville on the road being embarrassed... 64-53 with 3:22 left.

I’ll watch this tonight and cheer on the Aggies. Honestly I’d hope for you guys to win the tournament, except that my undergrad alma mater, Middle Tennessee, is playing there. They squeaked by Princeton in the last game. If Middle loses before they play NMSU, then the Aggies have my blessing to win it all. Ha!

Got close at the end and if not for a giant lead to start the game (20-3 at one point) Seattle U might have lost. SU wins though, two more OOC before WAC play. Both at home.

First time I personally had been to a game at the new Connolly Complex. It really is a beautiful facility but just way, way too small seating 999. Such a shame they didnt remodel it to even just 3k capacity. SU will be in the NBA arenas for awhile

Pointless but interesting note. My CBS sports app only has Miami favored by 9 against the Aggies. I’m all in favor of doing something crazy so go Aggies!

Aggies have this one in the bag up by 6 over Miami with 40 seconds. This is a very good team.

Unfortunately the WAC wont prepare them for the Tourney. AJ Harris is nice pick up.

Great way to rep the WAC tonight... congrats Aggies! First win against a top 10 team since 1990. That CJ Lofton dunk at the end... wow.

I’m looking forward to NMSU coming to Phoenix this year. It’ll be a great game and an insane atmosphere. I really do hope The Aggies and Lopes stay in the same conference even if there is some shakeup or realignment. It’s becoming a good rivalry!

NMSU has a real tough defense and rebounds very well for being undersized. Only had 8 turnovers tonight. When Jan was hired he preached defense, rebounding, and smart play. He and the players have not disappointed. What a win!
