In other words, I may be able to get the screen to load, but they may let hundreds/thousands of screens load concurrently and even if I loaded first, someone who puts in their info quicker will get the tickets.

Might be a good idea to have your data (contact info, credit card number, etc) all in a text file ready to copy/paste if you don't have your browser prefill those items for you.

My recollection of this from August is after login (email and code word) there was a Capcha and then you selected your seats for purchase. Once you had the tickets in your cart, you had something like 10 minutes to complete the purchase. A few people made the mistake of going back and trying to get different/better seats and lost the seats they had. Inventory went fast. In this case there is no seat selection, so I’d imagine you just select a quantity and add it to your cart. Still wouldn’t hurt to have all your details ready in case my memory is wrong and its a 3 minute checkout timer.

EDIT--switched to Aloft Frisco!
Surprising, because all 3 Frisco Starwoods were showing sold out yesterday.

Westin Stonebriar showing available, and Aloft Frisco was available when booking Friday-Monday.

Fri-Sat was a no go on the 3, Sat-Sun had avail on 2. I just looked out of curiosity. Westin showed sold out for Fri-Sat, but avail Fri-Sun, which is BS- they aren’t a resort property, shouldn’t be rigging it for 2 night minimum. If I wasn’t staying elsewhere wanted to stay there (I don’t) I’d call the Platinum desk..

RE: JMU Ticket Requests Exceed Allotment
If the NCAA is only charging $65, common sense would be to give 500 to each school for $65 a ticket (obviously each school could sell thousands more) and then let each school dole them out at $65 a ticket to their respective booster club members who didn’t make the cut. Could fullfill around 150 more orders for each school. That way there wouldn’t be the shenanigans that are going to go on with the keyboard warriors with this sale.

I was thinking the same. Why would the NCAA/Frisco want to mess with this when both of these two schools would, in one transaction each, make the purchase.

You're asking them to give up $5 fee for every sale. NCAA wants that $$$. At least I think that's how it would work, right ?

RE: JMU Ticket Requests Exceed Allotment
Not sure about fees, but it’s pretty easy for NCAA to push these out thru Flash Seats. Doesn’t take much effort on their side.

JMU probably would have had no trouble selling these, but the coordination might have taken some effort for NDSU. It took them significantly longer to assign and distribute their seats, plus they only deliver these tickets in person or via will call. Their ticket system seems a bit less efficient overall.

Can’t remember which way the seats run. When facing the seats from the field which way do the numbers run. For example section 107 seats 10-15, Which seat is closer to the 50? If they run left to right, seat 15 would be closer? Correct? Can’t find seat layout with numbers on the web anywhere.

if you're looking up at section 107 from the field, number 1 seat is on the right

Yes, put another way if you are in the seats facing the field, the seat numbers go left to right, and seat #1 would be on the left. Seat #1 would be closest to the 50 yard line for section 107. Seat 10 would be closer than seat 15.

Ok, thanks that being said, I have 2 very good seats in row 5 of section 107 seats 11 & 12 that 2 of my friends can’t use. My Husband (not a Duke) really wants me to put them on Stub Hub to help defray our trip costs, but I want to sell to a Duke. PM me if you are interested.

Thanks!

RE: JMU Ticket Requests Exceed Allotment
I know people on this thread already mentioned the SMU (32k stadium) and the Cotton Bowl.

Now here’s an ideal situation: For the next 4 NC games that Frisco is set to host, including this year, I believe through the 2020 season, JMU/NDSU pull a Marshall/YSU and play in 3 straight. Or Montana back under Hauck, who took them to 3 title games in the 90’s, makes Frisco (maybe the only other fanbase who would would bring NDSU/JMU #s). Have major complaints for the next 3-4 years about the stadium being too small.

Frisco: 25 miles NE of DFW. 2016 population estimate 163k, and as of 2014 the 2nd fastest growing city in the nation according to wiki. Toyota Stadium new capacity under 20k.

Denton: 28 miles NW DFW, (about 24 miles west of Frisco). 2016 population estimate 133k, and 7th fastest growing city in the nation over 100k, according to wiki. Apogee Stadium capacity 31k.

The folks in Denton have to notice the boon to the economy of nearby Frisco, and think it could be an even bigger boon to their city since their stadium can hold over 10k more, and they decide to bid to host the game and won the bid. They have to be some sort of rival to nearby Frisco, and they would have insight on what it took to make a winning bid. Not enough seating would no longer be a major issue with NDSU/JMU or a Montana.

Apogee opened in 2011. It’s a very nice looking stadium. It would be so much better to have the game in an ideal sized newer football stadium than in an undersized soccer stadium with undersized video boards and poor, temporary football scoreboards in bad locations.

Yep. Will be sitting empty on 1/6 just west of Frisco.
