The morning show used to have a good mix with a State fan, a Carolina fan and a Canes (hockey) fan. They broke that up and I can't listen to the new show.

David Glenn has a 3 hour show in the afternoons. Despite being somewhat connected to the ACC (he publishes the ACC Sports Journal), he doesn't talk about the ACC that much. When you take out the ads (which I know they need) and the time he is telling you what he is going to talk about, the net real time is about 30 minutes.

The afternoon show has Joe Ovies whose shtick is to insult fans. They also started doing these segments kind of like ESPNs 2 minute drill, but with sound effects. Ugh!

Bottom line... I have an opening for some real sports radio.

Local radio is awful everywhere...I had SiriusXM for over 10 years...don’t even listen to the locals when in my car...

Pretty much...what kills me on local radio is seemingly commercial breaks about every 7 mins. Syracuse local radio covers the Orange decently but they only have locally based shows for about 6 hours a day

It's gotten a little better here in Louisville since ESPN radio came in & challenged WKRD. You can find a local show on one or both from morning till 7. Since Deener brought ESPN radio here WKRD, the channel that WHAS made for UofL when UK bought priority there, has had to focus on the Cards primarily & drop the dual Cats & Cards concept. Maybin has his own show on 93.9 & other former players come in as well. ESPN has 3 channels here.
